We booked Mermaid Winery's tasting room for our rehearsal dinner. Jennifer was our contact through the entire process and she was such a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive and extremely helpful with my questions right up until the day of. We were able to customize our menu and even were able to speak with the chef as to what we wanted. We did a buffet since we were having a plated meal for our wedding and the options they gave us were amazing. Oh and I can't forget about the wine as well. So good. Most of our guests were coming from out of town and we loved being able to showcase what Norfolk had to offer! Everyone commented on how delicious the food was and the service was exceptional throughout the night. We would highly recommend Mermaid Winery!

Jennifer was like the fairy godmother of our wedding, and her entire team is phenomenal. We came to Mermaid after our previous venue fell through, and it was such an amazing experience that I can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. We rented out the entire space, including the bar/restaurant, patio and tasting room. Other than our DJ and photographer, Mermaid Winery took care of everything else.

Jennifer is a consummate professional. She was incredibly responsive and communicative throughout the entire process. We communicated primarily through email, and she also met with us in person several times to coordinate the details of our ceremony and reception. We also met with the chef and sommelier to confirm our menu and wine choices, and we had a wine and dessert tasting to make sure we were happy with the selections. The food was fantastic -- we had a former chef as one of our wedding guests, and he said this was the first wedding he'd ever been to (other than his own) where he enjoyed the food. Everyone was raving about the food and wine the entire night. All of the prices for food, wine and beer, venue rental and staffing were incredibly reasonable.

My now-husband and I are both very go-with-the-flow. We knew that we wanted good food, booze and music as our priorities for the wedding. Jennifer and her team worked with us to make sure we achieved our goals, and she also kept us on track with a few logistical details to make sure that everything kept moving smoothly.

Thanks to Jennifer and her team, I can honestly say that my wedding was perfect. I'd absolutely recommend Mermaid Winery to anyone and everyone. Working with everyone there was a dream come true.

We booked Mermaid Winery for our rehearsal dinner, and it was beautiful. We only had 15 guests, and they accommodated us perfectly. Zoe handled every detail wonderfully, and even let our guests order their meals that evening instead of ordering ahead. Our server was a wonderful host, who (unsurprisingly) knew the wine menu inside and out, making excellent suggestions to a number of people who don't typically drink wine. The food was delicious, although a few dishes arrived lukewarm, and the atmosphere was perfect. Everyone was extremely professional and helpful, and I had a wonderful time.

The night was fun and great. Had a little mix up with the assigned seating and food but my guest never notice.
