Mellon Acres Event Center is an outdoor and barn wedding venue located just outside Lawson, Missouri. Situated on 32 acres of beautiful land, this natural setting venue is great for couples looking to escape the stress and noise of the city and enjoy their event in an intimate environment. Refurbished to a high standard, the venue is owned by husband-and-wife-duo, Paul and Susan Ryals. The duo strives to assist every couple to create their dream wedding, ensuring no small detail is missed.
Facilities and Capacity
From rehearsal dinner, ceremonies, and receptions, Mellon Acres offers a variety of event spaces for all types of wedding celebrations. The Red Barn is the venue’s largest event space. It’s elegant and neutral interior makes for the perfect canvas for each couple to decorate and personalize to suit their preferred style and color scheme. The climate controlled barn also features a range of facilities and amenities including a built-in bar, lakeside views, indoor restrooms, stone fireplace, and more. For your ceremonies located outdoors, the Waterfall area is the ideal backdrop for any wedding day. A photographers dream, this event space is picture perfect, tranquil, and allows couples and their guests to celebrate in privacy, enjoying each other's company. Additional facilities include The Rustic Barn and The Rustic Arbor. These areas can be combined to create an event with both indoor and outdoor spaces. The Rustic Barn has a country-chic design and includes an array of amenities including dressing rooms, a fire pit, a snack bar, modern restrooms, and more.
Mellon Acres has three gorgeous cottages that elegantly look over the venue’s picturesque lake. Each cottage is designed in its own way and includes a honeymoon cottage for the newlyweds and two other cottages that can accommodate four. Additionally, there are eight full hook up RV sites located next to the cottages. These can be rented individually or added to wedding packages for couples and guests to explore the local area.
The venue provides a range of event services and items that can be included in their range of wedding packages. With the help of the venue’s professional and hardworking event planners, each couple can be guided through the planning process and help them design their wedding day from the ceremony logistics to the reception entertainment.
