I not sure where to start, Susan and Paul are the most accommodating and friendly owners you could work with when it comes to making you dream wedding come true. The amount of time and effort they put into you and your wedding is astounding. From setting up to tearing down, any of their beautiful locations for your ceremony and reception they give you their all. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day and I'm sure my wife would agree. Thank you so much Susan and Paul for everything this last weekend we had a blast.

Susan & Paul were amazing to work with and made us feel like family. They made the planning process so easy from start to finish. We got so many compliments on how beautiful everything was and how gorgeous the venue looked. I can't imagine having our event anywhere else!

So personable, kind, and will do anything you need! The venue is breathtaking, and there are so many places to take pictures on the land! The rustic barn is picture perfect and just the right size! If you have even thought about "rustic" this is your place, and you can even stay on site after the wedding in the little cottages!

In all honesty we couldn't have picked a better venue for our wedding, this venue is already perfectly set up and beautiful. The owners are amazing people and will go out their way to make sure your day is everything you could imagine and more.

As soon as I reached out, Susan responded so quickly! When I met Susan and Paul, there were/are so warm and welcoming. I asked tons of questions and they reassured me each time (I was a really nervous bride). Every detail I asked for, they met and exceeded my expectations. I could go on and on about them and their amazing helpers! The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL. I rented out the full venues and cottages along with 1 camper hookup. Worth every penny.

I had the perfect experience with the best people. They were extremely helpful and did everything in their power to make my day perfect.

Mellon Acres was excellent! We didnt have to worry about decorating the reception hall, they did it for us. We didn't have to worry about serving our guest , they did it for us. Clean up, not a worry, they did it for us! Susan and her husband really took care of us throughout the whole process! They made sure WE were happy. Our wedding was beautiful!!!!!

We were absolutely thrilled with our experience we could not of asked for more kind and thoughtful people to work with. They were by her side every step of the way, they were never too busy to answer any questions we had during your planning time from the first meeting to the last hour of the event, helping to clean up they were always there. They even planted flowers to be in the background for us. Thank you for an unforgettable memorable event.

Went there as a photographer for a recent wedding. Couldn't be more impressed with how beautiful the setting was! Every detail and thought went into making this place magical and just perfect for a wedding! It was a relaxing drive and easy to find. The owners are very friendly and professional and very helpful. They know what they're doing and they have great experience. If you are looking for a elegant wedding with some country flair, this is where to be! The pond with its wooden bridge at sunset is breath taking to view! I highly recommend having your wedding here! They even have cozy cabins across the pond from the barn where the bride and groom were able to preparefor their special day. Mellon Acres thought of everything!

We had the best experience wedding planning and on our wedding day thanks to Paul and Susan Ryals, the owners of Mellon Acres. They have the one-stop wedding venue that we were looking from. From the actual barns (yes there are 2), to the linens, tables, chairs, extra décor and even propane heaters for outside (we had a cold wedding day)... they HAVE IT ALL!! Mellon Acres even has the cute, little cabins as your quick escape the night of the wedding, which was the perfect end to our night. When looking for a venue, my advice to other brides would be to look at the whole package, including the owners you will be dealing with for a year or more... if you do that and need a KC-area wedding barn venue, Mellon Acres is IT! :)

I had the pleasure of coordinating a wedding that took place at Mellon's Banquet hall September 9th and it was absolutely one of the most gorgeous venue's for a country/rustic wedding. The new owners, Paul and Susan are wonderful. They took time to work with both my partner and I to assist with coordination. They helped through out the entire wedding from start to finish. The cottages on site to rent are authentic and beautiful. You really feel like you're at a home away from home! Not only was I lucky enough to assist with hosting an event here, my husband and I are going to do our reception here in the spring as well.

I have had the honor of being at the Mellon's Banquet Hall for numerous events and I have to tell you that the staff is always courteous, professional and the food that is catered in is absolutely amazing! The Banquet Hall is always set to fit whatever special occasion they are servicing, weddings, receptions or other events with such care and detail that it makes it a worry free experience! Diana Mellon most certainly has set the bar when it comes to Premier Wedding Venues in the Kansas City area and I will forever be grateful for such wonderful experiences that I have had at this Breathtaking and beautiful Banquet Hall and Rustic Barn. I am in love with the Country Unique setting!

My wife and I are extremely pleased with our wedding. We had many guests comment about how amazing the site was, inside and out. Mother Nature forced us to move our wedding indoors but Diane and her staff did an amazing job of getting everything ready for us. Thanks for everything Diane.

my wife and I had our wedding here and it was very beautiful the pictures turned out amazing with a waterfall and all the landscaping that has made this place a wonderful place the staff was amazing Diana was a miracle to work with she went over and helped us pick out things that we never even thought of. since then my wife and I have had several get togethers and everything at this hall. and they all came out amazingly I would recommend this to anyone if you would like to have aless stressful and peaceful get together Or have any kind being a wedding or just a family reunion this hall is amazing and Diana Mellon will help you and guide you in the way that kind of wedding that you would like to have.thank you so much Diana and your staff they were amazing.

this Hall is beautiful and the staff is amazing they go out of Their way to help you. Diana Mellon is the One of the best wedding planner that you could work with she will go over and above to help you. I never had any problems at all with the gathering that we had. Would recommend this place to anyone. A very nice experience with this hall. Friendly and very professional experience.

My daughter's ceremony took place by the waterfall. It was absolutely beautiful. The reception hall could not have looked better. I received many compliments on the decorations. Diana Mellon is organized and very helpful. I am very glad we found this venue. Would not have changed a thing.

Working with Diana was a very pleasant experience. Diana and her staff were very cordial and professional in every aspect. I would have never thought as large as this event was that it could have been so organized but that was exactly what we got. I would not hesitate to book with her again for any event that I might have in the future.

I could not have picked a better spot to hold our wedding reception! Mellon's Community Banquet Hall was absolutely gorgeous on the inside and on the outside with the waterfall, the cabins, the lake, and the views at sunset. We had some amazing pictures taken outside. Because it is in a country setting you will not have building, cars, or other "clutter" in your pictures... simply amazing landscape and skyline! Mrs. Mellon helped us out so much getting our wedding reception together and provided the best service as a reception hall owner. The amount of lights inside (especially the ones stringing from the ceiling) really made the reception hall feel classy and magical. I have also been to Mellon's Hall when it was not my wedding and have seen how versatile this hall can be... the other events made the hall entirely their own and each time it was beautiful. This hall can really transform in appearance easily to any customer's desires. We had a wonderful time and are extremely happy with our experience. I highly recommend Mellon's Community Banquet Hall!

Our wedding at Mellon's banquet hall was wonderful and the staff made everything run smooth. The waterfall was a beautiful place to have our wedding and all the grounds made beautiful pictures.

My family and I booked a wonderful get-away at Mellon's Country Cottages. The lodging experience at Mellon's Country Cottages far surpassed our expectations. The cottage was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The setting was beautiful and the grounds were well maintained. We cannot wait to visit Mellon's Country Cottages again.
