He has been writing short form, among other genres, for more than twenty years and has studied literature at high-ranking universities. He is currently a live poet and poetry teacher at the Japanese Friendship Garden and Museum at Balboa Park, San Diego, and he has taught poetry-related topics at the University of Southern California.
