McNair Farm is a wedding and event venue full of historical charm and elegant style. McNair Farm is located five miles from downtown Athens, Texas, on eight beautiful acres. The Farm has an upscale barn for your intimate indoor reception with detailed architecture and charm. The details and amenities inside are one of a kind. Great love and attention are poured into the scenic grounds daily for your outdoor use. There are three lovely spots for your wedding ceremony. McNair Farm has an in house executive chef for top knotch in house catering for all of your events.

Historical charm. The farm dates back to the 1920s during the Great Depression. In 1994, Donald Lewis purchased the farm and began renovating the dairy barn, homestead and the Henderson county 1873 Jail. McNair Farm is now full of charming spaces and picturesque landscapes for your perfect day.

Facilities and Capacity

McNair Farm is a versitale venue giving you the freedom to design your day however you envision it to be. It serves up to 200 guests. There are three outdoor ceremony sites; the rustic wood cross arch, church style wood arch with a long aisle or the heart tree. Your ceremony will be elegant and classy or simple and naturally pretty, based off your personally style. Then your guests will move over to the historical jail and pavilion or the outdoor tent for cocktail hour. For an intimate reception of 100 or less, your guests will enjoy the upscale barn for dinner. The barn has an upstairs loft and sitting area for additional guests. There is a one of a kind country elegant chandelair and gorgeous fireplace. We have an onsite dressing room and lounge area for the wedding party. Our staff is committed to making your day a dream come true.

Cuisine

Our executive chef and owner, Donald Lewis, is well known for his outstanding catering services. We offer one or two entree meals, buffet, plated, appetizers and charcuterie style menus. You will have the option to personally customize your menu with our chef. Your wedding cakes or desserts can be designed in house as well. McNair Farm boasts in our hospitality and catering abilities.
