Hi! I'm Mattie, and it is so great to meet you! I am a mom to two adorable boys, director at a nonprofit, a lover of cycling, and your friendly Williamsburg wedding photographer (not quite as cool as spider man, but I'm willing to climb or lay on anything to get that perfect photo!).
My business started quite organically, thinking I could spend money on a camera instead of paying someone to photograph my first son. Along the way, after trying multiple types of photography and practicing on everyone I knew, I fell in love with wedding photography - from the tender first look moments to family member drama (it happens) and dancing the night away, I love to celebrate with you all throughout your special day.
My style is very bright and airy, with timeless and true to life colors. If you're looking for a photographer who will bring joy to your day and encourage you with a huge smile, let's connect! <3

My husband and I were married in June at the Williamsburg Inn. Mattie came highly recommended, and it was easy to see why! She was very communicative, accommodating, and made booking an easy process, which was especially important since we live out of state. She and her husband, Zeko, captured some beautiful portraits and candids of us and our guests. Mattie is very knowledgeable and had lots of tips regarding posing and lighting to make sure we all looked our best. Thank you both so much for lovely photos that we'll treasure forever, and for being a part of our special day!

made the whole day so easy!
Mattie is a fantastic photographer! Her pictures so far have been beautiful and everything I was hoping for. Even more important for me was that she made things SO easy! She was so efficient and was great at getting people into the right positions and how to get them to smile for better pictures without slowing anything down at all. Her husband was the second shooter and he too was very professional and efficient and even helped carry my veil and emergency bag for me when we were walking around taking pictures. When I was the most stressed right before the ceremony Mattie made everything very streamlined and simple and made me feel much less panicked before walking down the aisle. I can't recommend her enough!

Stunning, Heartfelt Photos - and a Truly Lovely Photographer!
Hiring Mattie is absolutely one of the VERY BEST DECISIONS I made in my whole wedding planning process! She is more than a wonderful photographer - she is also a coach, helping us to look our very best with tiny moves that read so well in pictures. My whole bridal party loved her, and she so beautifully captured the joy and love we felt all day long! Going back through the photos makes me so wistful, because her images just bring back all the emotions from our wedding day - exactly as the best photographers do. Absolutely Perfect!!
Mattie did such a phenomenal job as the photographer at our wedding!! The pictures look straight out of a bridal magazine. Mattie was there the entire time, and she was very attentive and thorough; she made sure to get all of the shots that were important to us and some more that we hadn't even thought to ask for!! I can't recommend her enough if you're having your wedding in the Williamsburg/Virginia area!!!

Wonderful to work with!
It was such a wonderful experience to work with Mattie! She helped us capture the most special moments of our engagement, wedding ceremony, and reception with great attention to detail. Her professionalism and skills also helped two awkward people feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. Mattie is very responsive, friendly, and easy to work with. Eye for photography, heart for a special day
Mattie is such a wonderful person and more amazing photographer. She photographed our country al fresco ceremony and dinner. The details, laughs and love captured between our family and friends and most importantly, us is something we still treasure. She worked with the lighting, timing of events and what photos we wanted easily. We have moved out of state or she would still be capturing family photos for us today.

Stress-Free, Personable, Reliable
Mattie and her husband were absolutely AMAZING to work with! There was not one time where Mattie was not smiling. My husband and I could tell she was genuinely happy to be present during our wedding. She remained enthusiastic, but calm and bubbly the entire time. This helped me a lot on the wedding day, amidst all the moving pieces.
Her photos were also simply stunning. If you are looking for a photographer who knows how to use natural lighting and not require crazy edits to make them look good, Mattie is for you.

The perfect wedding photographer
Mattie is amazing! We hired her to do our wedding photos and could not be happier with the results. She knew exactly how to pose us and find the perfect lighting and angles all while making it look and feel completely natural. She is extremely respectful, professional, and imaginative, and I really appreciated how she embraced our vision and worked with us to generate the exact feeling we wanted for our special day. It felt like she was creating a work of art dedicated completely to us. I feel very fortunate that we found her and would recommend her 100% to anyone.
