Matthew Hall Photography is who you've been looking for to capture the most important moments of your life. We used Matthew Hall for our engagement photos and our wedding on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He is incredibly talented - both at taking photos, imagining the right scene to capture, being creative with his shots, and giving YOU advice to make you not look terrible in your photos! Personally, I struggled having my photos taken because I feel so awkward! Matthew was great at helping me relax and enjoy the moment so that he could capture what was important - not the staged smiles, but the true moments that define any event. My biggest advice is to use him for your engagement photos, too, because you'll get a chance to know each other and work together before the wedding day! I would recommend him to anyone, hire him for any event, and invite him over for dinner because that is just how great he is. He has a passion for living a genuine and authentic life and that is how he takes the shots that will stay with you for life. He made the inside of my head a reality - something I've never thought possible when it comes to expectations of big moments, like a wedding. Matthew is a pure professional! We hired him to photograph our daughter's wedding in March 2018. She is artsy and a bit non-traditional. Matthew listened to her and got her photographic "style." We have been so thrilled with his work! The photos capture the day beautifully - artistically and with a flash of fun! Matthew is easy-going and made us all feel at ease throughout the day. I can't say enough about how pleased we are that we hired him to commemorate our daughter's wedding day!

I was HUGELY PICKY about our wedding photographer and Matthew Hall fulfilled my highest expectations! Any wedding photographer can get some nice portraits, or some nice shots of a bouquet. Matthew is AMAZING! He includes Engagement photos in each package and will travel anywhere. He has an eye for romantic photos and great lighting during the day, night especially at dusk. My Texan husband and my Southern California self, met on the west coast, long-distance dated 5 long years, and decided to get married and settle in Philadelphia for our first years together as husband and wife.
For our E-session, we really wanted to capture Philly in our pics, so that it wasn't only an e-session, but a reminder of where we finally came together.

Matthew was so kind enough to answer my plea on a site for a photographer to shoot our E-Session...
and boy were we in luck.

I met him in a bar in center city Philadelphia, and was greeted by a smile of someone easy to converse with and 'gel' with.

I gave him my ideas of what I wanted for our center city shoot to be like, and he was 100% receptive to everything I had pictured, but wow did he bounce back with phenomenal photos. He really captured such warm shots of us but managed to highlight certain philadelphia-only quirkiness.

Two of our friends did their engagement shoot at longwood gardens with Matt, and they went home with fabulous pictures as well.
