Vicki, a Toms River local, was introduced to the Mathis House at 600 Main as a guest nearly a decade ago. Since then, she and the owners of the family-owned business have become great friends. Vicki resided in the home for five months during Super Storm of Sandy, was married in the home several ago, and is now the Innkeeper for this Victorian Architectural Masterpiece that she has grown to love. Vicki resides on the third floor of the Inn and enjoys meeting travelers from all over the world. You will enter as a guest, but you will leave as a friend.

In addition to fulfilling the role of the Innkeeper, Vicki is the hostess that preserves the integrity of the history of the original owners, Mr. Thomas Mathis and Mr. Maja Berry. She provides historical tours of the Mathis House to the visitors of Downtown Toms River trolley tours. Vicki creates an experience for visitors as she dresses in a beautiful Victorian gown and explains the rich history of the home which is now operating as one of New Jersey’s Best Tea Rooms and a top-rated Bed & Breakfasts. Additionally, Vicki serves as the Maître D’ for Afternoon Tea service and attends to the requests of the celebrants that are planning special events at the Inn.
