Our wedding was on September 3rd, 2016! We had the most fantastic and memorable day at The Ashford Estate. From the beautiful landscapes, to the gorgeous barn where we had our ceremony, are to die for! The main estate and ballroom are out of a fairytale, for sure! Our day was just magical! This venue is truly a spectacular place. Everywhere you look there is a gorgeous 'backdrop'. That helps when you have an amazing photographer like Kay English. Our photos are absolutely gorgeous with the help of these gorgeous grounds The Ashford Estate has!
The entire process was amazing as well. We worked with Laura, who was fantastic the entire time. From phone calls and emails, to our meetings leading up to the day, it was all such an enjoyable process. The entire Ashford Estate and Merri-Makers team make the planning extremely easy and incredible. Taylor and Lisa were our bridal assistants. Helping me out all morning, then attending to my husband and I the entire evening. So eager to help and make our nights as enjoyable as possible. They were absolute dolls, too!
The 12 beautiful suites they accommodate in the main estate are pristine in every way possible. Each room has its own decor style and feel. The bridal suite is such a dreamy room. We loved staying here and so did our guests.
Merri-Makers did an awesome job as well! The food was out of this world amazing! From cocktail hour, up until our dessert displays, everything was on point! Our guests were in awe with every detail during cocktail hour. Our dinner courses were spectacular!!!
You will not regret having your gorgeous wedding day at The Ashford Estate! We highly recommend it!

On behalf of Zach (my husband and I) and my family, the Ashford Estate was the BEST decision we could have possibly made. Our day was beautiful from start to finish. The attention to detail and the personalized care and treatment we received from The Ashford Estate staff cannot be matched. I would love to give a special thanks to Laura, Megan, Celeste, and so many others for making this experience so enjoyable-they genuinely make you feel like royalty. Our guests had a fantastic time and have told us it is one of the best weddings they have ever been to. It is all absolute perfection, from the food to the charming dairy barn, grand reception hall, magnificent guest suites, and grounds-to name some of the WONDERFUL THINGS about this venue; however, the list is endless—top-notch service and luxury. We will never forget this day-the most memorable experience. I 100 percent recommend The Ashford Estate- It will be the best day of your life!!!

We did a lot of searching for the perfect wedding venue. When we visited the Ashford Estate in January 2011, we knew that it was the perfect place for us! All of my guests raved that they felt as if they were in a fairytale while at our wedding - and it truly is a fairytale setting!
There's no need for me to review the grounds and appearance of the place - anyone who visits can see how breathtakingly beautiful it is! The rooms were very clean and well kept. The staff were wonderful to deal with throughout the year and half we had to plan our wedding. They were very accommodating when I needed to come to meet a vendor later than they normally leave. The night manager at the estate on our wedding night was excellent! She gathered all our things (including frames that we had put around the estate) and put them in boxes so that we just had to pack them in the car in the morning. We had our wedding on a Friday night, so we were able to get to the estate much earlier to check in (I arrived at 10:45) and start hair/makeup without rushing. This really allowed us the time to relax and get ready, whereas if the wedding had been on a Saturday, I think we would have been more rushed since we wouldn't have been able to get to the estate until much later.
I will review my other vendors separately, but it is worth mentioning that my caterer was Main Street Catering. We booked when there were 3 options for catering, and then it was 2 (Main Street and Merrimakers), and now I have been told that Merrimakers will be the only caterer for Ashford for new brides that book. I can honestly say that I wouldn't have booked the Ashford Estate if Merrimakers would have been our caterer. Food was very important to us. We went to both tastings. Both staff were excellent, except Merrimakers food was just not good. I know this is personal preference, and there will be many that may disagree, but in my opinion, the food tasted like it had been frozen, it wasn't creative, and felt like the emphasis was on quantity of food, rather than on quality. The staff that we met were very friendly, and it is nothing against them, I just couldn't imagine spending the amount of money we spent on our wedding, and have Merrimakers food. Main Street (reviewed in detail separately), on the other hand, was more expensive, but completely worth the price! Everything I have tasted has been delicious. My guests raved about how delicious everything was, many telling me that it was the best food they had ever tasted at a wedding.
Also - in the ballroom of Ashford Estate there is lighting that was built in by Fennelli Design. They are the only lighting technicians you can contract for lighting services. Besides the fact that their lighting prices are ridiculously overpriced, the customer service is awful. After many failed attempts to have a meeting during the few months before the wedding to discuss lighting color options, I met with them during my cocktail hour while I should have been mingling with my guests - very unprofessional.
