Marlena is the best! She has done my makeup every year for the past several years for family photos and also for events and work photos. She is professional, incredibly talented and also wonderful to be around. Marlena is super responsive when scheduling an appointment and, on the day of, always arrives promptly and works both efficiently and responsively. I don't wear a lot of makeup so highly value her ability to make makeup feel light and look natural (and she easily adjusts the look based on the event or occasion). I met Marlena after I got married, but, if I were ever to get married again, I would have her do my makeup :)

After having two unsuccessful makeup trials and much back and forth with other artists, I contacted Marlena for a trial in conjunction with Boho. The second I sat in Marlena’s chair, I knew I was in excellent hands. In the course of about 35 minutes she had me feeling absolutely stunning and like a goddess -- exactly how a bride to be should feel. Leading up to my wedding day, she sent me helpful tips for my skin, and even called me the day before my wedding for tips on healing dry winter skin. On my wedding day, Marlena did my makeup as well as three bridesmaids in the course of about two hours -- a whole 45 minutes earlier than we needed to be done. That’s practically unheard of, and it made for the most relaxing wedding morning. All of my girls loved their looks and I would recommend her to any bride to be!

After a couple of other failed attempts/trials, I️ connected with Marlena via the Boho Hair Salon. Her work is stunning. It’s gorgeous while remaining natural, she made me glow! She truly listens and is flexible to work with you on “more” or “less.” She also has a calm, lovely personality that sets you at ease. My friends who also got makeup done looked INCREDIBLE, whether she was doing a similarly natural look or something more edgy. I️ highly recommend Marlena to any bride or anyone who wants to look stunning for any event.

I am not someone who uses make up very often and neither were any of my bridesmaids so Marlena did a great job of listening to what we did and did not want and all of our make-up looked flawlessly Natural. Marlena Singh was my makeup artist for my wedding and I couldn't have been happier that I found her. I just got my photos back and I am so happy with the way I looked in my photos as well as in person. She did a very useful trial beforehand where we tried different styles and figured out what I liked and what felt right for me. On the wedding day, my makeup looked even better! I was on the fence about hiring a makeup artist leading up to the wedding, but have no regrets - I am so glad I decided to get my makeup done and am so happy to have found Marlena.

I can't recommend Marlena highly enough. I had several other trials before I found her and was losing hope that I would find someone who could give me beautiful, natural makeup. Her makeup looked amazing in photos, but more importantly, it looked just as good in person. I looked like the best version of myself on my wedding day, which is exactly what I wanted. She also did my mom's makeup and she looked and felt fantastic. I wear very minimal makeup every day, so I didn't want to look like a clown with thick foundation on my wedding day, but I wanted my skin to look flawless. Her airbrush foundation gave me the exact look and feel I hoped for. And the makeup lasted all day without a touchup!

My mom and I both have very sensitive skin and I have had back allergic reactions to makeup in the past, so we both had trials beforehand. We had no reaction at all to Marlena's makeup. She uses high quality products and is a germaphobe like me, so she keeps everything very clean and never reuses wands or brushes.

Marlena was incredibly professional, punctual, prepared and a pleasure to work with. She had a positive energy and got along with everyone. I would absolutely recommend her for any special occasion. I can't wait for the next opportunity I have to work with her!

Marlena did an amazing job on my makeup. She was super patient and talented and worked with me on every detail I was being (overly!) picky about – perfectly combining listening to what I wanted to do and giving me her professional opinion when she knew something wouldn't work. Marlena was amazing. She did my makeup for my wedding in NYC and I was coming from out of state but she was great coordinating everything and being flexible with my times for the trial and day of. My mother, mother in law and MOH also had their makeup done and were all pleased with their looks. Marlena made me look my absolute best, I couldn't recommend her more highly.
