Marlena is the best! She has done my makeup every year for the past several years for family photos and also for events and work photos. She is professional, incredibly talented and also wonderful to be around. Marlena is super responsive when scheduling an appointment and, on the day of, always arrives promptly and works both efficiently and responsively. I don't wear a lot of makeup so highly value her ability to make makeup feel light and look natural (and she easily adjusts the look based on the event or occasion). I met Marlena after I got married, but, if I were ever to get married again, I would have her do my makeup :)

After having two unsuccessful makeup trials and much back and forth with other artists, I contacted Marlena for a trial in conjunction with Boho. The second I sat in Marlena’s chair, I knew I was in excellent hands. In the course of about 35 minutes she had me feeling absolutely stunning and like a goddess -- exactly how a bride to be should feel. Leading up to my wedding day, she sent me helpful tips for my skin, and even called me the day before my wedding for tips on healing dry winter skin. On my wedding day, Marlena did my makeup as well as three bridesmaids in the course of about two hours -- a whole 45 minutes earlier than we needed to be done. That’s practically unheard of, and it made for the most relaxing wedding morning. All of my girls loved their looks and I would recommend her to any bride to be!

After a couple of other failed attempts/trials, I️ connected with Marlena via the Boho Hair Salon. Her work is stunning. It’s gorgeous while remaining natural, she made me glow! She truly listens and is flexible to work with you on “more” or “less.” She also has a calm, lovely personality that sets you at ease. My friends who also got makeup done looked INCREDIBLE, whether she was doing a similarly natural look or something more edgy. I️ highly recommend Marlena to any bride or anyone who wants to look stunning for any event.

Marlena was recommended by the ladies at Boho Hair Salon in Asbury Park. I am not someone who uses make up very often and neither were any of my bridesmaids so Marlena did a great job of listening to what we did and did not want and all of our make-up looked flawlessly Natural. She was easy to work with and stayed on schedule on my wedding day. Highly recommend!

Marlena Singh was my makeup artist for my wedding and I couldn't have been happier that I found her. I just got my photos back and I am so happy with the way I looked in my photos as well as in person. She did a very useful trial beforehand where we tried different styles and figured out what I liked and what felt right for me. On the wedding day, my makeup looked even better! I was on the fence about hiring a makeup artist leading up to the wedding, but have no regrets - I am so glad I decided to get my makeup done and am so happy to have found Marlena.

I can't recommend Marlena highly enough. I had several other trials before I found her and was losing hope that I would find someone who could give me beautiful, natural makeup. Her makeup looked amazing in photos, but more importantly, it looked just as good in person. I looked like the best version of myself on my wedding day, which is exactly what I wanted. She also did my mom's makeup and she looked and felt fantastic. I wear very minimal makeup every day, so I didn't want to look like a clown with thick foundation on my wedding day, but I wanted my skin to look flawless. Her airbrush foundation gave me the exact look and feel I hoped for. And the makeup lasted all day without a touchup!

My mom and I both have very sensitive skin and I have had back allergic reactions to makeup in the past, so we both had trials beforehand. We had no reaction at all to Marlena's makeup. She uses high quality products and is a germaphobe like me, so she keeps everything very clean and never reuses wands or brushes.

Marlena was incredibly professional, punctual, prepared and a pleasure to work with. She had a positive energy and got along with everyone. I would absolutely recommend her for any special occasion. I can't wait for the next opportunity I have to work with her!

Marlena did an amazing job on my makeup. She was super patient and talented and worked with me on every detail I was being (overly!) picky about – perfectly combining listening to what I wanted to do and giving me her professional opinion when she knew something wouldn't work. She truly made me feel beautiful.

Marlena was amazing. She did my makeup for my wedding in NYC and I was coming from out of state but she was great coordinating everything and being flexible with my times for the trial and day of. My mother, mother in law and MOH also had their makeup done and were all pleased with their looks. Marlena made me look my absolute best, I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Marlena did a terrific job with makeup for my brother's wedding. The makeup was flawless, and she copied exactly what I showed her from a picture. She was also very calm and professional throughout the whole session. And even though she was there do makeup, when I mentioned issues with my hair, she proceeded to fix it as well! We could not have asked for a better makeup person.

I cannot thank Marlena enough for all her work. I actually used her twice - once as a bridesmaid and once again as a bride. You can tell that she took pride in her work and that this was simply not just a job for her. She paid close attention to detail and made sure that you felt comfortable and looked your best. Marlena is so sweet and talented and would definitely recommend her to anyone. I would use her again in a heartbeat! Thanks again for everything.

Marlena was awesome! She made me and my bridesmaids look so beautiful! She was so helpful and professional and definitely very skilled. I LOVED my makeup on my wedding day and it's exactly how I wanted it. She was so sweet to even stay longer to help me as one of my friends who was helping me with some of the bridesmaid's make up was running behind and Marlena offered to stay and help so that we will be on schedule. Thank you so much Marlena ! I highly recommend Marlena to any brides out there. She's so sweet and professional and does amazing work :)

Marlena was such a pleasure to work with. She was on time, super sweet and incredibly easygoing. I was definitely calm the morning of my wedding by surrounding myself by talented vendors, like Marlena. I had a last minute add on for a family member that morning and she was thankfully able to squeeze the person in. I wanted makeup that had 'staying power' considering how easily I tear up, (not to mention it was ridiculously humid the morning/afternoon of my wedding). Well between the humidity and the tears-the makeup absolutely stood the test! I felt beautiful, my bridesmaids looked beautiful, and now my pictures will look beautiful thanks to Marlena! Amazing work, thank you!

I came into NYC from Florida for my cousin's wedding. I was thrilled with Marlena Singh. She was professional, sweet, punctual and overall just wonderful. My makeup came out natural just as I had asked. The wedding was an entire day event. The makeup still looked amazing even 12 hours later. I will recommend her to ally friends coming into NYC and my NYC friends and family as well. Also, she was so extremely sweet and helpful after the wedding helping me with just the right shades and colors for me to purchase back home. Wonderful experience!

Marlena is amazing!! She did my make- up for my wedding day and made me look absolutely flawless. She also did my 7 bridesmaids and my mother -- everyone loved how they looked once she was done. She has an extremely calming presence and made me comfortable and relaxed on a very stressful day. Also, I had some skin problems on my wedding and she was able to cover them perfectly. She was always on-time, responsive, and reliable. I am so happy with her work and would urge other brides to use her - you will not be disappointed

Marlena was a pleasure to work with, made me feel very relaxed and did an amazing job on my make up. She used the airbrush technique and she made my skin look naturally flawless. Many brides on their wedding day in my opinion over do their make up, but I thought what Marlena did was perfect.

Marlena Singh was extremely professional, last minute I think we added 6 girls to be done, we had a tight schedule and not once did I feel she was over whelmed not once did she make me feel over whelmed. Extremely helpful, did my make-up exactly how I wanted. She made me look the way I dreamed about looking on my wedding day. She was wonderful. Thank you Marlena.

Marlena was wonderful! I did a make-up trial with another makeup artist and came out feeling like I was overly made up and didn't even look like myself. With Marlena, on the other hand, my wedding day make-up looked beautiful and totally natural--I felt like a radiant, enhanced version of me!

Marlena was a great part of my wedding day! She was very professional, down to earth and made everyone look beautiful!! She also was a part of my sister in laws wedding a few months after mine. Every girl dreams of thier wedding day and how truly magical it will be. I was lucky to meet Marlena when I was a bridesmaid in my sister in laws wedding and absolutely loved my makeup on that day and then on my wedding day she made me feel absolutely amazing. She is so extremely talented and makes your special day one to remember forever. I had a bridal party full of beautiful ladies and Marlena made them each look breathtaking! Marlena is amazing!!! She did my makeup as a bridesmaid in a recent wedding-and it was truly the best makeup application I have EVER had! I felt so confident and beautiful! I looked great in pictures and the airbrushing lasted all day AND night! Marlena is a true professional and absolutely the BEST bridal makeup artist! Marlena is amazing! She did my bridal make-up as well as 7 bridesmaids and 2 mothers. All were flawless and ready for photos on time. The air brush make-up lasted through outdoor August heat in Central Park. Everyone looked just gorgeous, thanks to Marlena!

Marlena was professional and flexible. She listened. We started simple and kept adding during the trial. This helped me know my limit, which was after I felt too done up and not myself. She was calming the day of and really chill. She did 4 faces quickly.

Marlena was absolutely AMAZING! My brides maides and I had a wonderful experiance. She took into account how i wanted my bridesmaides to look while incorporating a little of what they wanted as well, as to make us all feel beautiful.I had a very diverse range of bridemaides with different styles. Markena was capable of finding that equilibrium between what i wanted and how they wanted to feel. My wedding day was perfect and as you may know planning a wedding is stessful enough, so hiring Marlena will ease the pain of worrying about makeup. I recommend Marlena to all personality types.
