I have worked with Rachel and the Mandelette team professionally over the years, and when it came time to book a photographer for my own wedding, I knew I could trust Rachel and her team!!

My husband and I eloped in a City Hall ceremony, then spent the afternoon taking photos throughout the city with Sherry :D

Even though we had only met Sherry that day, we felt like we were able to connect with her immediately! We wouldn’t necessarily describe ourselves as “photogenic” but WOW looking through the photos had us feeling like celebrities!!! Sherry was able to capture every small look between us, and guide us into the best light and positions without formal posing. We felt very natural and at ease! She also immediately jumped in to help me with my dress, coordinate with our driver, and hold my purse or my husband’s suit jacket if needed which was so appreciated!

We’re so thrilled with our photos; every single one is a work of art! And they were so wonderful to share with our families when we told them the big news! We couldn’t be happier!

Rachel is the best! We loved working with her for our engagement and wedding photos. She is kind, super responsive, helpful, and the best hype-woman. She made us and all of our family and friends super comfortable. Not to mention the gorgeous photos she takes. We love our photos and how Rachel captured the love and so many special moments from our day. And somehow she had our edited gallery back to us before we even landed from our honeymoon flight. Rachel is seriously amazing!! She photographed our engagement session recently and I am obsessed with the photos to say the least. I am a wedding officiant and had the good fortune yesterday of meeting/working with photographer Rachel Mandel (Mandelette Photography), What an absolute joy to work with. She was beyond personal and professional and most engaging with both myself, the guests and above all, the couple. On a 1-10 she is a TEN and hits all the marks!!

Rachel was amazing! She thoughtfully purchased a fold-out tent prior to our session so we could do multiple outfits in a public space in broad daylight. Rachel has such great attention to detail which was so appreciated! Both in her photographs after the fact & during the shoot. Could not recommend enough!

I can't even begin to describe how amazing Rachel is. She took photos for our elopement/small wedding in Chicago. She went above and beyond to make our day feel so special. At one point, I was so nervous my hands were shaking, but standing in front of her camera with her kind, calm, and detailed instructions made all my nerves go away. After the elopement, we all sat around talking about how much we all loved Rachel and how comfortable she made all of us feel!

Most importantly, she has an AMAZING eye for lights/angles/background. She helped us take photos that I didn't even know I wanted. The photos came out very quickly, and I was able to share them with all my family and friends who couldn't make it to the wedding due to COVID.
