We were referred to DJ Malik by our wedding venue (Cass House). My husband and I were waiting until the last minute to confirm vendors because of the uncertainty with things due to COVID. DJ Malik joined our vendor team at the 11th hour and we were so grateful that he was available. We met with him before our wedding and he really listened to our preferences and guided us on things we needed to hone in on for our wedding. Our conversation even helped shape our timeline; we felt very inspired after our meet up and were really able to identify what our vision was for the night afterwards. DJ Malik was incredible the day of our wedding -- everything went off without a hitch and the dance floor always had people dancing. He took requests and blended them in well with his prepared setlist, and even incorporated quirky things we asked for (e.g., playing the Game of Thrones theme song when reception started and playing “Chicken Fried” by Zac Brown Band when our late night snack of fried chicken sandwiches was served). He was very professional but created such a fun atmosphere and vibe just by reading the room. We felt so lucky to have him on our vendor team and highly recommend working with him!

Malik went above in beyond for our wedding! He is so genuine and thoughtful! Our guests and I didn't want him to stop playing at the end of the night- we were just having too much fun! He read the crowd perfectly and did a great job keeping the dance party going!

We couldn't be happier with Malik's deejay and emcee services from our wedding in Templeton, CA in September 2017. Leading up to the event Malik was always available to talk about our music preferences and ideas for the overall flow of the wedding. His experience as a wedding deejay was invaluable. He was always calm and easy to talk to, and we felt the utmost confidence that he would do a great job for us.

We loved that Malik asked us for a list of songs that we wanted to play during the wedding reception, spend time with that list to get a better understanding of our tastes, and then come up with some other songs that he thought we might like to surprise us out on the dance floor. This kept things unpredictable and fun, and really was perfect for us. We also loved that he would only award song requests to people that were going all out on the dance floor.

An underrated, but greatly appreciated, part of Malik's services was the way he emceed the night. Malik is not cheesy. He's not looking to steal the spotlight. He's got a confident, attention-grabbing, professional, polite style that had our wedding guests moving where we needed them.

We would recommend Malik to anyone, and can't thank him enough.

Malik went above and beyond to make sure he understood the music we wanted at our wedding. He was available to meet in person or via phone if needed. Malik did our wedding and he was great all around. We enjoyed working with him, as he was very professional and laid back. He did music during the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. All aspects were great. For the dance party, he was definitely able to read the crowd and kept playing songs that fed into the crowd. He met with us before the wedding to go over songs, style, flow, etc.

For technical details, I don't know much about sound equipment, but it did sound really good. The microphones were clear. Malik got there before we did and got everything set up. There was zero stress to us, which was greatly appreciated.

Overall, I highly recommend Malik.

Malik is the man! He did an amazing job as our wedding DJ. One of my major concerns was the sound quality during the ceremony and speeches. I have been to so many weddings with microphones that cut out. We had no sound issues our entire wedding. He has a great laid back personality and did a perfect job making announcements without making it sound cheesy. He listened to all of our song requests and did a great job keeping everyone on the dance floor all night.

I'm not sure that I can recommend Malik high enough. He truly went above and beyond in all ways for our wedding and also made things smoothly when we had issues with other vendors. He was kind and very flexible. If you are considering Malik, you will be in good hands.

Malik was our MC/DJ and he was awesome. Very laid back and flexible working with him. He also provided microphones and the sound system for our outdoor ceremony/reception. We had no problems with sound at all!

What I love about Malik was that he wasn't a cheesy MC. No flashy lights or weird sound effects. He's all about the music and kept his intros/announcements classy. He's got an awesome soothing voice. Haha. He played exactly what we were hoping for during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception (especially killed it during the reception - got tons of compliments on the setlist). I would definitely recommend him!
