The majesty loft was an excellent and inexpensive solution to our low budget wedding. The customer service by both owners, alexis and cathy, was excellent. They were willing to work with our schedule, our other vendors, as well as assist with the set up of our table settings. They were personable and I felt as if they were a part of our wedding day. I would highly recommend this location for someone who is working within a tight budget.

My fiancé and I had an appointment to view the venue earlier this year. It was on a Saturday and we confirmed with the representative on that prior Thursday. When we reached the venue, no one was there. When we called the representative, while sitting in front of the venue, he told us that he "forgot" to call us the day before to let us know that he wouldn't be able to keep the appointment. I told him we were outside waiting. He said " well, you can still go and see it, someone is there!" NO ONE WAS THERE, AT ALL!!!! Three weeks later I received an email saying that Majesty Loft would deduct $300 from their fee if I still wanted to use their venue, as a way to compensate me for the inconvenience! As if I would ever give them a dime of my money after that!?! #veryunprofessional

Wasn't there for a wedding reception but I recently had an event at the Majesty Loft in Montclair, now named the Heart Ballroom. The event was scheduled for March 28th from 8pm-12am. I booked the place in January with Mayowa Godsent. I put down a downpayment of $250 and was told to pay the rest on the day of my event. Godsent text me that morning setting everything else up as far as the security and rest of the payment for my event. He then called me an hour later telling me that the place was double booked. He asked if I would move my event to the Jamaican restaurant next door to the actual venue. Perplexed and a bit upset with his way to fix the issue I told him that I would not do it. I planned, practiced and prepared for the venue I paid for and I refused to move. He said that was fine and he would see me later during the event. I then receive a text message not a call 2 hours before my event and he said that the other party was already set up and they weren't going to allow me to have my event. After speaking to the police officers and my Pastor he finally agreed to let me use the other space upstairs and said that I didn't have to pay the rest of my payment. He also said that he would reimburse me the downpayment that I had given him. My event was in March, it is now July 1st I have yet to see this reimbursement. If you want to have a smooth running function I would strongly advise you don't choose this venue. PS...I'm still waiting on my payment.
