Mae was one of our favorite vendors to work with! She was very communicative leading up to the big day, she did a great job of keeping us super relaxed, she listened to what we prioritized as the most important elements, and the photos were fantastic! My wife and I are both very happy with how the event was captured. We used her for our engagement photos in addition to our wedding photos, loved both, and couldn't have asked for a better experience from a vendor.

Mae is absolutely amazing! She managed to capture every detail of the day! The portraits of my husband and I are stunning, the group photos are beautiful and effortless, the detail photos are completely perfect, and the candids capture the spirit of the day. I can not say enough good things about Mae! If we ever have another major life event, we will certainly use Mae's services!

Choosing Mae to capture our wedding was one of our best decisions of this past year. She is a phenomenal photographer; the pictures on her website speak for themselves. A former architect, she has a keen eye for angles, sizing up shots, and it was always fun doing shoots with her to see how she is consistently thinking ahead, trying to create perfection. The photo set we received brought our wedding to life in way that we could have only dreamed of.

Throughout the process, from meeting with her in Salem to our engagement shoot, wedding, and everything in between, Mae was truly a pleasure to work with. She is extremely pleasant, professional, down-to-earth, and easy to communicate with. She also consistently went above and beyond what was expected of her; Mae understands the seriousness of her responsibilities and her hard work reflects that. Even during the craziest moments of planning our wedding, we felt at ease knowing that photography would not be an issue at all. Mae Hogan is a true professional. We hired her through thumbtack and could not have made a better choice. Mae was happy to meet in advance to talk about what we were looking for in a photographer, what she offered in her packages and what to expect the day of the wedding. She was comfortable to talk with about pricing and budget and she is willing to figure out a way to get what you want but try to stay within your means. She has tons of examples of her work on her website and the quality there is what you can expect when you hire her. Just to make sure she was completely ready to photograph our wedding, she checked out our wedding venue before the big day so he had an idea of the best lighting and shots to take.

On the wedding day Mae arrived early and prepared. She worked alone for our wedding but she had a belt allowing her to have all of her equipment ready when she needed it. You could tell the day of Mae had reviewed the schedule and was determined to stay on time. She was great with giving direction with the first look, and the staged wedding party and family pictures. We felt comfortable and it reflected in the photos. Mae was also able to capture just the pure happiness of the day through the candid shots. Our wedding photos were perfect; they came out better than I could have ever imagined.

Mae even stayed a few extra hours to take more photos of people dancing. She had sneak peaks ready for us the next day! We were so excited. The rest of our photos were delivered within six weeks and we were given more photos than promised! Mae exceeded all of my expectations and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a photographer.

Mae was incredible. Mae went above and beyond in all respects for us at our event. She was friendly and warm, yet still professional. She wasn't afraid to join into our event to get the best pictures, and her eye is impeccable! The quality of her work is outstanding.
