I don't even know where to begin explaining how incredible Mac is and the impact she had on our wedding experience. Starting with her actual work - she's a magician. She captured the day so incredibly and fully understood the vision I had for how I wanted our photography to feel - I wanted it to feel soft, vintage, organic...and she delivered. She's meticulous in getting incredible lighting and creative set ups without making anything about the experience of being photographed feel fussy. My husband and I generally don't feel very comfortable in front of the camera, but Mac's expertise ensured the results were beyond our expectations. The photos we have from our wedding day are absolutely stunning. She's so calm and brought that ease throughout the day, making us feel safe, supported and able to be fully present.

Finally, she is also just such an incredible person. So kind, so caring, so thoughtful. Exactly who you would want to trust such an important piece of your memories with. She truly felt like a friend, not just another vendor, and made everything about our work together feel personal. I hope I have the chance for her to photograph future milestones for our family because she has become an important part of telling our story.

Shortly after our engagement, before any plans for an actual wedding had crystallized, my wife was certain about two things: she wanted to get married in her hometown of Savannah, and she wanted Mackensey there taking pictures. I was too new to the wedding game to understand why we were building our event around the photographer, but looking back it was just about the most important decision we could have made.

I can't recommend Mackensey highly enough. From our very first phone call, she was kind, supportive, informative, and calming. In the midst of one of the most overwhelming days of our lives, Mackensey captures our joy perfectly. She came into a situation not knowing the venue (being from out of town), or the photo locations we had chosen, and she made them work beautifully. She also found a second shooter in a town that’s not her own that was absolutely amazing. Her editing elicits the exact vibe we were shooting for, and we got “sneak peaks” less than 48 hrs after the wedding. Trust me, you may not think you want pictures immediately, but the moment you get them you’ll obsess for days. She was the perfect mixture of directive and responsive. We are forever grateful that she was the one to capture our day.
