Our wedding cake was absolutely AMAZING!!! They made us a 6 tier red velvet cake and let me tell you, their red velvet cake is to die for!!!! They were able to get creative and replicate a cake we had seen in a magazing and it turned out fantastic. Its hard to find a cake that looks and tastes good and Lutz's made that happen!!!

Our wedding cake was georgeous and delicious. I went there from the suburbs on a referral from a friend and though it was a bit far, it was worth the trip. The initial meeting and cake tasting was fun and the girl there was very helpful. I brought in a few pictures with ideas and a copy of my invitation for design inspiration and the cake designers at Lutz created the perfect cake! It was exactly what I had envisioned!

We purchased a small 1 tier cake for our wedding cake... our guests enjoyed cupcakes from another vendor. I am a HUGE fan of Lutz's marzipan tortes and cakes so this was a MUST for our cake... it's just a little too expensive to purchase a whole cake out of this (hence, the cupcakes). Our cake was AMAZING, fresh and tastefully decorated. I will go back to this bakery again and again...

Lutz's created a great cake for us...not only did it look great, but it was delicious! The quality of the cake was very high...not dry at all like other wedding cakes I've tried or even those sampled during cake tastings. The only downside is that Lutz's didn't have that many design ideas in books or provide many during consultation. However, they are extremely flexible and can do pretty much whatever you want, so long as you have a good, clear idea in mind. That's exactly what we did. We brought in a picture of what we wanted, added a few embellishments, and they created exactly what we wanted. We did some shopping around, and the price wasn't bad either compared to what other places were asking for a similar cake. Highly recommended!

The cake was extremely tasty - which is more than I can say for most wedding cakes. It was also beautiful. Generally, I think cakes are overpriced, but considering the general quality and general price of wedding cakes, we got a pretty great deal. Delivery was on time and also a good deal.

We had a neopolitan cake with white buttercream frosting and it was moist, not too sweet, and delicious. They delivered the cake to our venu in Glenview and it looked beautiful. While the staff who work there may not be the brightest, the quality of their cake more than make up for it. It's a traditional European bakery - round or sqaure cakes only - not too many fillings to choose from - but the unbelievable goodness of their cakes makes you think that they don't need to distract you with too many options. The cake here is just plain great.

Worst experience ever. Wasted an hour of our Sunday with my fiancé driving to this bakery for a scheduled cake tasting for a wedding cake just to be told they had no record of our appointment. Talked to 4 people that showed no interest in helping us for 15 minutes and then the Manager says 'I don't know what to tell you, there is nothing I can do.'

DO NOT trust these people with your special occasions, especially not the most important day of your life. If they can not even handle a simple appointment they do not deserve your time and money to screw up your wedding.
