This place rocked!!! Sydney O'Bryan did an amazing job with the prep for our wedding, and making sure all was in order! She made us feel comfortable from the start, and made sure we were happy til the end. Our guests all loved the venue as well, and the decor speaks for itself.

Sydney coordinates weddings and special events at the Louisville Palace Theater. While she's not a general wedding planner, I chose to review her as such because of the sheer volume of work she did in that capacity for us. I can't say enough about Sydney. She is dynamic, outgoing, and professional. We were sold on the Palace as a venue largely due to her attitude and personality. She was the strongest advocate for our wedding, providing a strong guiding presence and leading our other vendors. While many planners want to shunt your event into a cookie-cutter plan of what weddings "should be" or "normally are," Sydney takes the approach that your wedding is YOUR EVENT, and she works impressively to craft your dream into your actual event.

I know that my husband and I departed from a lot of traditional, common concepts of weddings. Sydney was unfazed. She actually appreciated the uniqueness of what we wanted to do, even though it meant that she had to shift a lot of folks' paradigms to do it. She did it. I never heard "no" or "that's too hard." Also, she constantly looked out for ideas to save us expenses, which was certainly appreciated.

It might seem histrionic to say that Sydney moved mountains to make our wedding dreams into a reality, but that's exactly what she did. We have received many, many compliments on our wedding, and I can't attribute that to anyone but Sydney. Our ceremony and reception was what she called "ambitious," but it appeared to the guests as effortless as though it had been in the works for years.

Worth noting is the fact that throughout the crucial planning period, my husband was deployed with the Navy.That made communication an obstacle (and yes, he wanted to be very involved in the decisions). Sydney was very responsive and flexible, which was the only thing that made the planning work out. Also, Sydney ran the wedding like a seasoned project manager. Our guests commented later that she was an exceedingly gracious, agreeable person.
