The Frazier History Museum

The Frazier History Museum is a wedding venue located in Louisville, Kentucky. The property is situated in the West Main District of downtown Louisville and is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution. This museum documents and reinterprets stories from history through artifacts, exhibitions, and daily presentations by staff, and is a unique spot to host your celebration.

Facilities and Capacity
Weddings at The Frazier History Museum’s can be held in The Rooftop Garden, where you will enjoy panoramic views of the Ohio River and city. This patio accommodates 250 guests for seated ceremonies and features tile floors, seasonal blooming flowers, and a partially-covered terrace. On the fourth floor, a New York-style Loft boasts brick walls, dimmable track lighting, a permanent wood dance floor with LED lighting, and 25 windows. The First Floor Great Hall is a contemporary space with a terrazzo staircase, access to the museum galleries, multimedia screens, and a built-in sound system. This hall holds 150 guests for seated dinners with room for dancing and 250 guests for standing receptions. Gateway Garden is a secluded area with wood tables and metal chairs and has beautiful landscaping and verdant foliage. For intimate affairs, the Speakeasy is located behind a false wall and is an atmospheric cabaret-style space. It includes a custom built-in bar, a stage area, and access to The Spirit of Kentucky, the grand staircase, and museum galleries. Finally, the Champagne Parlor is a themed lounge in the middle of the second floor exhibit. This 50-person capacity parlor has a bar and period furniture that add to the retro charm.

Services Offered
The Frazier History Museum can host your ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, engagement party and other wedding events. Reception rentals come with four hours of event time, three hours of set up time, a variety of tables, black fan-back chairs, and housekeeping staff. Ceremony rentals include two separate dressing rooms, a sound system, and wireless microphones. A professional sound technician and experienced staff will also be available. They want your day to be magical and will help you choose the perfect venue for each of your wedding events.
