Louise did a PERFECT job altering my wedding dress!!! :) She’s a real pro!!!

Louise did an absolutely AMAZING job at altering my wedding dress. From the moment I met her to get a quote, it was obvious how knowledgeable she is about dresses and how experienced and talented she is at her work. She is also the nicest, calmest person, exactly who you want to be around in the lead-up to your wedding! And the end result fit PERFECTLY and was even more beautiful than I could've imagined -- I loved it so much I refused to change into my party dress for the reception, and I received a million compliments about how stunning it looked. Her price was also ~60% of the alterations price quoted from the dress seller (Janene's; even after they gave me a big discount) and another well-reviewed seamstress in the area, and absolutely no hidden costs. Seriously stop your research now and go visit Louise.

Louise did a great job on my wedding dress! I loved the dress I bought, but when I picked it up from the store it was all wrong, seeming both too small and too big at the same time. Louise was recommended by a local store and was up for the task! She reconstructed the sleeves, tightened the waist and chest, and adjusted the length. We originally decided on a simple bustle, but then realized that the dress was too heavy for it and Louise recommended we switch to the more intricate French bustle, which worked great and was beautiful. On my last fitting we found out that I had lost weight around the chest and it was making the bust look weird, so Louise added an additional dress fitting the week of the wedding and worked really fast to get it done! Because of the change in timing I needed a really quick turn around on getting the dressed steamed so she called her trusted cleaners and got them to do it in under 24h! In the end my dress looked absolutely stunning and people commented on it all night. It was amazing! I would definitely recommend her for any dress alterations you need!

Louise was amazing to work with for my wedding! She was easy to communicate with, very friendly and welcoming, listened to what I wanted, and gave me tons of advice leading up to my wedding day! I live across the country, and so we were limited to a few precisely-timed fittings, and she made it work. My dress was too big and she did an amazing job bringing it in and adding the bustle just as I wanted - my dress fit like a glove and was super comfortable to dance in all night at my wedding. I can't recommend Louise enough!

Louise is the best! The wedding dress consignment store where I bought my dress (shout out to Emerald City Gowns!) recommended her to me, and I am so glad they did. She was able to give me an estimate based on photos I sent her from the store, and she was able to fit me in for three fittings with only six weeks to go before the wedding! I was really nervous and flustered the first time I went to see her, but she is so calm, professional, and down-to-business that by the time I left, I felt a million times better and knew I was in good hands.

Louise had worked on my dress before, so she knew just what it was supposed to look like. She took it in considerably, added straps, added cups, and fixed all kinds of odds and ends. She also adjusted the topper I bought to go with the dress so that it tied tightly enough and lay flat in the back. The dress ended up being looking even better than I could have ever imagined. She gave me honest opinions about changes to the dress, helped me find shoes (even texted me some recommendations for places to look!), and even dropped off the dress for me at the cleaners so she could give them specific instructions for pressing it correctly. I felt that her price was more than fair, and if I ever need anything else tailored I'm planning to go to her.

Louise is so welcoming and sweet and I really enjoyed seeing her at my fittings. She is really helpful, honest about her opinions, clear about what parts of the dress need to be altered and how. I found her to be really gentle and kind. Louise is definitely no-nonsense; she's really serious about the quality of work she puts out. She appreciates timeliness and organization so I would recommend arriving to your first appointment having a clear idea of your schedule and what days and times work for you to schedule the rest of your fittings - Louise was really pleasantly surprised when I did just that.

Louise was incredible at altering my dress. She shortened the hem considerably (I'm 5'2") which was no small feat since there were so many layers of tulle in the skirt and for the most part removed the train for me since I was preparing for likely rainy weather and a muddy environment (I had a destination wedding by a waterfall during Washington's rainy season). She also brought in my size 0 Watters Azriel dress to something more like a 00 by bringing the dress up by the shoulders and taking in the bust and waist. I also asked her to add bra cups and she gave me a couple options to choose from in regards to padding. Louise very carefully had to pull up lace and sew it back to do all the changes she needed to and she did everything with high attention to detail.

Looking back, I am in awe over how perfectly, gradually, and carefully she hemmed my skirts. It was something we struggled with over a few fittings, since the underneath fabric and many layers of tulle would sometimes catch as I walked and we kept altering it until the flow of my skirt was just perfect - on my wedding day I walked through dirt and rocks and even as my heels sunk into the soft ground the fabric of my skirt never caught and never dragged.

Louise did an amazing job on my dress (alterations and bustle). I had purchased a Maggie Sottero dress in Vallejo and had wanted a particular size. The woman however told me she thought I should get a 14! I had never been that size so she did a 12. I was unsure, and ultimately I was right. I was a much smaller size since the dress had a corset back. The dress would slide down a bit with the weight, it did not go tight on the waist as I had hoped, etc. UNTIL Louise fixed it. She did it at a very good price and made it smaller for me. It was as if it had come that way! It was utterly perfect =D.

She also did my bustle which was what I originally went there for. She did if for a good price as well. Using clear buttons and string the color of the dress, the bustle hooks and buttons were undiscernable. This was great so that when my dress had the train extended no one could see the buttons for the bustle.

Louise, thank you so much. You helped in such a short notice when I needed fixing desperately. You were very friendly throughout and very sweet. I thank you for all you did and was ecstatic that the alterations were very well done and remained perfect!!! You did a fabulous job and I was able to tighten that corset and make my waist look smaller =D

Louise is amazing. My bridesmaid dresses had a sizing issues, but she was able to fix three of them with my wedding only 2 weeks away! Her handiwork is amazing - she's obviously very, very good at her craft. It will cost you, but her prices aren't outrageous.

People say she has attitude - I got a whiff of what they meant, because my bridesmaids and I weren't always on time to our appointments. However, I think that she is just being a shrewd businesswoman and won't let people take advantage of her - which is awesome! She's a one-woman show, super busy, and very high in demand. Of course she doesn't want to waste her time waiting around for latecomers!

She's also very sassy, which I dig.
