Litty's cakes are so delicious and moist. The white cake with vanilla icing was amazing but the flavor and filling combos are endless. Their prices are so reasonable and ordering was simple. I e-mailed Mr. Litty a picture of the cake I wanted and that's exactly what I got. We had pre-cut sheet cakes in the back to make serving easy. We'll continue to visit Litty's for birthday cakes & special occasions!

The cake we tasted during the sampling was delicious but we have to confess that we didn't have any on the day of the wedding (other than what we fed each other)! However, all of our guests raved about how delicious it was, especially the raspberry creme filled vanilla cake. Litty's was able to do fondant for the cake design we really wanted and the final product was beautiful. Thanks!

Steve and Teresa Litty were absolutely awesome to deal with. Their cakes and frostings as well as their fillings are out of this world. I was so excited they would deliver clear to Stow, Ohio for my wedding. A real neighborhood gem!

Our cake was delicious and the price was great! I was a little upset that they did not have cake tasting, but I can understand since it is a small bakery. Everyone at our reception raved about the cake :) They did a wonderful job!

We used Litty's for our wedding and thought they did a great job. We ordered 5 different flavors of cupcakes and they were all delicious. There wasn't one cupcake left at the end of the night and guests were raving about them afterwards. Overall, LItty's was very professional and helpful as we were making our decision. I would definitely order Litty's again for an party or event!

Litty's did a nice job. You can't beat the price anywhere! I took them pictures of what I wanted my cake to look like, and they did a pretty good job matching it. I was expecting the cake to be taller than what it was. It was three tiers and I thought each of them would be thicker than what they were. It still look very nice. I had never tried cake from there before, and I was shocked that when we made our wedding appointment that they didn't have us sample any cake. Luckily my husband knows their cakes well and knew the tasted awesome!

They are actually in New Philadelphia, Ohio.

As long as you don't want what they call a "cosmopolitan cake" (no fondant!) you can have it. They do a pretty great job actually for a local, family owned cake and cookie bakery. My cake was beautiful! The design came from the Martha Stewart Wedding Cake book.

I said they weren't flexible because they only work with buttercream icing.
The taste was fantastic, and you really can't beat it anywhere for the taste and price!

Horrible Would Not Use Again

We ordered our wedding cake, a ho-ho cake, through Litty's. On the day we were supposed to meet with the owner to go over the details, which he scheduled, he wasn't there. A wonderful employee sat down with us instead. She called the owner on speakerphone, who said he forgot, went out on a delivery instead, and wouldn't be back to sit down with us, but to offer us a discount for the inconvenience. The employee who sat down with us once again was absolutely wonderful. She listened to what we wanted, a cake modeled after the game my now husband used to propose, loved the figures he made, and really made us feel heard. Basically, it was going to be large green, yellow, and pink hexagons lined with blue frosting. Each hexagon would be large enough to fit both figures. She asked us to bring her pictures of the game and other similar cake examples, which we did a few hours later. It was overall a great experience.

Fast forward a few months. It's two weeks before our wedding and my now husband realized we haven't heard from them since, calls, and ends up leaving a message. When the owner gets back to him, he tells my husband our folder is empty except the deposit receipt. This does not instill confidence in my husband as he goes back over our cake design with him. The owner then realizes our order may be somewhere else, and finds it with the regular cakes - crisis averted. He then starts looking at the design and desides he wants to charge way more than initially quoted, and make the design significantly smaller. My husband argues a little, but then says okay, as it's less than two weeks away.

After he tells me this, I call the bakery back and nicely try to explain that he has to honor the quote we were given, and since he has not seen the clay figures, I would like to sit down with him. The owner argued and was actually a bit mean with me, but finally agreed. I spoke with my husband afterwards, wanting to cancel, but he had his heart set on this bakery. It was the only one his family has used for many years, and he loved their goods.

On the day we met with him, the owner was angry and very standoffish. I was still very nice, but he refused to honor the quote, and charged us the additional, then told us he was only going to decorate the center with a few hexagons, and any that would hang over the edge he would just cut off. My now husband also asked about any ideas he may have to make stands for the figures, since they were quite heavy and he was worried they would sink. The owner told us they would be fine and not to worry. I still wanted to walk, but aqueoused because it was what my husband wanted, so I wrote the check. I knew there were going to be problems, and I wasn't wrong.

Day of our wedding. We don't hear anything from the bakery as the time for drop off comes and goes. I'm starting to freak out a bit as an hour goes by and we don't hear from them. I call the bakery and the employee told me he had just left. The venue was about a half hour away, but it took him an hour to arrive, making him a total of two hours late. He brought the cake and I almost started crying, it looked like a kid decorated it. The hexagons were the right colors, but weren't even and had weird swirls in them, I think it was an attempt at creating texture. They also were barely large enough to fit one figure, which he had seen with his own eyes and we discussed each was to fit two. The owner then lifted a figure to put it on the cake and remarked it was too heavy, we should have stands. I was livid. Thankfully, the best man's dad was absolutely wonderful and able to cobble something together.

Now I want to discuss the taste. Personally, I don't like cake. The exception is normally Litty's ho-ho cake. However, the cake we received was not good. It was infinitely sweeter than normal and didn't taste nearly as fresh as when I'd previously enjoyed it with my husband's family for their birthdays, reunions, etc. The only bite I had of that expensive cake was during the part of the reception where we cut and fed it to each other.
