When my fiance and I were shopping for photographers, we first heard of Lisa from her mother,who is a renowned photographer herself and highly recommended her. Lisa was the first photographer we met with and we instantly felt a connection with her. I did not bother to look any further. My fiance and I are very quiet, easygoing people and do not do well with pushy personalities. Lisa has a very gentle quiet and thoughtful way about her that really appealed to us. And we got the same feedback from our families and friends a the wedding. She puts people at ease right away. We had a very limited budget for the wedding, but Lisa was able to work with us and customize a package that fit our needs and budget, something most photographers do not generally do. Although she spent only 4 hours with us on the day of the wedding, looking at the pictures it did not feel like that. She was able to get pictures of every event and guest at the wedding. No one was overlooked. Her pictures have a very ethereal quality about them that almost makes them look like paintings. We even requested an additional session with Lisa after seeing her work and realizing that we wanted more pictures in our wedding dress and more detail pictures. Lisa was flexible and agreed to meet us right away. She listened to all my requests and executed them perfectly. Thanks to Lisa we have a beautiful memoir of our wedding day. If I had to do this again, I would definitely hire Lisa. I highly recommend her to all our friends and family. The amazing thing about Lisa is that you can see how passionate she is about her work. She never gets tired and keeps trying until she gets the perfect "shot". It is obvious that this is not just a job but a passion for her and she is a perfectionist! We enjoyed our time with her! Lisa Vollmer is from my hometown of Great Barrington, Massachusetts. I had seen and admired her photography over the years. At the time of my wedding I lived far away in Denver, Colorado. Our destination wedding was planned for even further away--San Diego, California. I hoped Lisa could be our wedding photographer, but I wasn't sure if she did destination weddings.

I called Lisa Vollmer Photography to see if there was any chance she would do a destination wedding. Luckily, she has great experience with destination weddings and was happy to accomodate. She was very flexible and understanding of our unique wedding plans and visions.

Lisa captured one of the most special moments my fiance and I have ever had - the proposal. I couldn't have picked a better photographer to be there with us during that intimate moment.
