The
Lindley-Scott House, is open year-round, and has been serving the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding areas with personalized wedding and receptions since 1978. We are located in the city of Azusa close to the San Gabriel Mountains on 4 acres of lush gardens. The
Lindley-Scott House was built in 1911 for Charles Lindley, president of the Foothill Ranch. Later Mabelle Scott Anderson, owner of the Mabelle Scott Rancho School for Girls, acquired the house. The name of the house was derived from these two owners. The house and grounds are maintained with an eye to its historic past. Gardens, rockwork, driveways and house look little changed from that day in 1911 when the contractor finished construction. An original hitching post is located between the
Lindley-Scott House and the Carriage House. There is also a small door on the east side of the house where the local ice man could deliver blocks of ice directly into the house’s ice box.
Currently there are two locations for weddings, the front lawn area with its expanse of lawn and trees. This area features, a very interesting and majestic cypress tree along with a very large California Live Oak. This area is situated in a way that would allow brides to arrive by horse-drawn carriage or antique automobile. The second area located adjacent to the Carriage House has a gazebo as its focal point and is hidden from view by hedges.
The estate is comprised of two buildings, The Historic
Lindley-Scott House built in 1911 and the Carriage House built in 2003. The
Lindley-Scott House is available for the bride and her bride’s maids, for pictures only, when the wedding is performed at the Lindley-Scott House. Inside is located the Victorian-style dressing room, a beautiful grand staircase and foyer with period antiques furniture. The second building, the Carriage House, is used for sit down receptions. Its architecture matches the
Lindley-Scott House and seats 200 guests.

Best wedding ceremony and reception ever at the Lindley Scott House. The wedding was held outside with comfortable seating, and beautiful maintained grounds perfect for the occasion. Staff was extraordinary with making sure all attendees to the wedding were comfortable and well fed with the most delicious steak & salmon or some had steak and chicken, as well as keeping up with champagne, water, tea, coffee, etc. Our entire family commented on such wonderful service over and over again. We will definitely recommend the Lindley Scott house to future grooms and brides.

Diane at the Lindley Scott House is such an amazing person to work with! She makes you feel at home and is so understanding and flexible. The property itself is also BEAUTIFUL!!

The LSH is the finest example of a family owned business. George, Diane, and Scotty are all so attentive, accommodating, and nice. During the planning stages, you will work with Diane who is incredible, especially at responding despite what hour of the day it is. Later, you will meet George on the night of the rehearsal, and Scotty on the day of the event. Aside from that, the gardens look like something straight out of a fairytail. The grounds are manicured, lush, and are excellent for photos. I also think that the trees where responsible for blocking out the sounds of traffic. Then, there was the wedding carriage. It looked so beautiful!! Its clean, spacious, and the food was so GOOD!! I have attended many weddings in the past, in which the food was undercooked, cold, and mediocre. However, with the LSH, you wont encounter this problem!! Its hot, delicious, and comes out on time and quickly. We can thank Scotty for that. Speaking of which, he was always there to assist us, as well as his staff. They are polite, and always giving water, ice tea, and cleaning. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I shot a vintage wedding here a few years ago, it was delightful. The staff is incredibly helpful, plus the grounds and house are gorgeous. Here's the feature of the wedding: https://www.theknot.com/real-weddings/a-classic-vintage-inspired-wedding-at-lindley-scott-house-in-azusa-california-album
