There are plenty of photographers who can deliver beautiful wedding photos. What sets Alan apart is the combination of an incredible experience and truly exceptional results.

From the start, Alan was fantastic to work with. He's funny, easygoing, and instantly puts you at ease in front of the camera. We genuinely enjoyed spending time with him on our wedding day. Beyond photography, he had incredible guidance in the planning process and helped us craft a timeline and approach that aligned with the wedding day we hoped to have. 

The photos completely exceeded our expectations. They weren't just beautiful—they were stunning. We received so many unique, creative images that captured our day in ways we never could have imagined. The reaction from friends and family was unanimous: "Oh WOW, you had an amazing photographer." The team delivered hilarious and amazing candid shots, crushed the family posed photos and helped guide my husband and I to capture moments that feel candid and intimate, no stiff or awkward photos.

We originally found Lighter Focus through a photography awards website, and after seeing our gallery, it's easy to understand why his work is recognized. Hiring Alan was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we cannot recommend him and his team highly enough.
Bottom line - the entire team was kind and lovely to interact with day-of, Alan was communicative, prompt, gallery turnaround was way faster than expected, the end product was stunning. They are worth every single penny.

Alan was amazing from the beginning, he helps work around your budget and get you exactly what you want. He is super professional but also is personable! From our engagement session to wedding day we had so much fun, I would recommend to anyone and everyone! Not to mention our pictures are INSANEEEEE like the best pictures I've ever had. People have told us that we have the best wedding photos they've ever seen! 20/10 recommend!

Josh was seriously the BEST choice for our wedding photographer! We could not be happier with how the photos turned out. He was excellent and prompt with communication and helped remind me of details I would’ve forgotten during the wedding craziness.

We got our edited wedding photos back just 9 days after our big day. I am blown away at the quality AND quantity of the photos we received back. All of our friends and family who have seen the photos are thoroughly impressed.

Josh is SERIOUSLY like a ninja. I can’t believe all of the photos he captured of the day, because I hardly noticed he was there. He was super discrete and extremely quick. Josh also really helped me feel special on my wedding day. Anything I did or didn’t want to do, Josh was quick to remind me that it was my big day and we would do whatever I wanted.

He was fun, jovial, and so kind. I also think Josh offered fair and transparent pricing that he customized to fit our specific needs. Lighter Focus deserves endless praises that I will happily sing to all of my friends who get married in the future. I seriously could not recommend them enough!

Alan, the owner of Lighter Focus exceeding our expectations. We wanted a photographer with an artistic eye to capture our wedding day. Alan plays on light in such a beautiful way. These are not your typical wedding photos which worked for my husband and I. We wanted shots that captured not only our likeness, but the beauty in what surrounded us as well. We were so lucky to have had some left over snow and it made every photo that much better. Alan takes his time to get to know the couple in preliminary interviews and made sure he knew who his subjects were. His head was on a swivel and captured some amazing shots of our wedding guests. We could not be more happy with our experience with Alan and Josh. They are both so friendly and professional and became such a seamless part of our wedding day. In our initial meeting, we expressed how important it was to us that all of the little moments of our wedding day be captured, along with the big ones obviously. We wanted to see all of our people interacting, all of the laughs, all of the tears. We knew we would be running from one place to the other all day and would miss all of these once-in-a-lifetime moments otherwise. Our wedding photographer was one of the most important decisions for us when it came to choosing our vendors and we can honestly say that Lighter Focus did NOT disappoint. Although he was the singular photographer for our wedding, it was like he had a second shooter as he got every shot that we desired and more!
