Facilities and Capacity
This outdoor wedding venue can comfortably host up to 400 guests. For an outdoor ceremony, The Cabin Stage in the Cabin Meadow features a two-story chimney and spacious lawn surrounded by an open creek and beautiful mountains. A tented reception area can be set up nearby. The Valley Gazebo, located in the Equine Center, is ideal for horse lovers. This area is next to the Covered Pavilion, a 8,500-square-foot open-air space with 13-foot ceilings. The Hendrix Homeplace, a historic two-story cabin with lush lawns, is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains and is best for intimate indoor ceremonies. Receptions can also be held in the Elk Creek Inn, a lodge-style building with floor-to-ceiling windows and scenic views. In the back, Sunrise Porch and Hemlock Stage provides space for private gatherings.

History
In 1985, Leatherwood Mountains was established as a residential community and vacation resort. They have been hosting weddings for more than 25 years.
Location
Nestled along the lush forests of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the venue is close to one hour and 19 minutes from Winston-Salem and one hour and 47 minutes from Charlotte. Piedmont Triad International Airport is an hour and a half away.

Leatherwood is a lovely, rustic mountain venue. Their staff is detail oriented and provides incredible customer service. For intimate elopements to large weddings, Leatherwood has a wide array of offerings. Horse lovers beware--you may never want to leave this little slice of heaven!
Leatherwood is a beautiful location with the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains as your back drop. They have a few lovely reception areas depending on the size of your wedding. The outdoor ceremony space is so romantic. The staff is very accommodating and great to work with, especially with Abby in the lead-- she is absolutely down-to-Earth and solution oriented. I've never had a bad time there!
Leatherwood Mountain and it's staff offer an amazing venue and service. We love photographing weddings and events there because it offers so many unique picturesque opportunities.
