I got married on October 25, 2025, and not only did Lamija make me, my bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother-in-law feel absolutely beautiful, but she literally saved my wedding day.

I had a total hair crisis the morning of my wedding, my hair was nothing like what I had envisioned, and the stylist I hired refused to fix it. I was on the verge of tears and having a full-blown panic attack. But Lamija came to the rescue. Even though I had only booked her for makeup, I asked if she could possibly redo my hair, and without hesitation, she said yes. She stayed way longer than expected to completely redo my hair and even fixed my mom’s and sister’s (who was my maid of honor) hair too.

If I could do it all over again, I would have hired Lamija for both hair and makeup. She is unbelievably talented, calm under pressure, and truly cares about making her brides feel beautiful. And boy, did she achieve that goal.

Lamija is hands down the best hair and makeup artist in New York and beyond. From start to finish I loved working with Lamija and getting to know her. She took my vision and executed. I wanted vintage 1950s hair with soft glam makeup and she nailed it. Every guest complimented my hair noting it from that era! Lamija is truly an incredible professional hair and makeup artist. She was one of the first people I saw on my wedding day and I am so happy she was. She has a great energy and from our first time meeting she felt like a longtime friend. On my wedding day she was prompt, energized but calm and excited for the day ahead. Throughout the day she helped to keep all of the ladies on schedule and seamlessly collaborated with my photographer and wedding planner during the getting ready process. I truly don't have enough words to thank Lamija for the phenomenal job she did on my wedding day. From the very first conversation I had with her, to the trial, I knew I could trust her with my bridal hair and make up. Not only did she create a look that was absolutely flawless and exactly what I envisioned, but she stayed by my side the entire day to make sure everything remained picture perfect, and that meant the world to me. The best part is I told her I needed her to stay on the spot with no heads up, and she was more than glad to, regardless of her hours long drive back home to Syracuse from Buffalo, NY. Her talent is undeniable; my hair and make up lasted all day and night (through 90 degree weather, Lebanese zaffeh/dabke dancing, and of course the happy tears). But beyond her skill and perfectionism and attention to detail, it was her presence, patience, and kindness that truly stood out. She brought such a calming energy during what can be a very emotional and overwhelming day. She went above and beyond for me and my bridal party, driving from my house to the church to the wedding venue, touching us up in between. She also loved and appreciated my culture, and was video taping me and all the festivities and created a gorgeous insta reel for me which shows how truly loving and genuine she is. My family and friends absolutely loved her, and it really felt like she was part of the bridal party.
