Stunning Venue with Amazing People!

I was honored and thrilled to officiate this venue's first wedding. It is such a beautiful space and the people who run it are absolutely wonderful! It was also refreshing to be in such a gorgeous indoor space during our hot, hot summer! I am really hoping to officiate many, many more weddings here in the future!!

beautiful but rude owners

The venue itself is GORGOUS and very clean. We just had a lot of complaints from our wedding party and guest about the owner being rude to them. When we booked this venue we was told they would be on site for the wedding but would be in the back incase they were needed. She was out the entire time. She fussed about a back door being open. They are NOT kid friendly at all! A guest daughters shoe had left a black mark on the floor and she mentioned in front of our guest that they had another wedding the next day and if shoes left black marks then we would be charged another 300$ for a cleaning fee. They provide all decor with is GREAT! We was suppose to have a cross at the ceremony. When the husband bought it from the back, one of the kids was in the way and he almost ran them over with the cross. You only get one hour for rehearsal AND decorating the night before. We had a bridal party of 20 so one hour and getting all their outfits and our own decor inside was really VERY stressful! We had a very experienced wedding coordinator who let the owner know the night before that she was very rude to us. 10 minutes after our hour she was turning off all of the lights in the venue. The day of the wedding you only get 10 hours. All of my girls had to get ready at home because the cost for one additional hour was $500. I'm just mostly upset that all of my guest felt like she was rude. She was everywhere I turned the day of the wedding. The entire grooms suits said she was very nasty with them. The venue is decently sized for a wedding of about 100. The lake is beautiful for pictures. The bridal and groom suit is very nice. The dance floor is VERY small. The back patio is amazing though, with fire pits and couches. Our day is already gone, but if I could go back, we would have chosen a different venue that was equally priced. We only had about 8 kids at our wedding. None were very small except the two in the wedding and my brother in law supervised them the ENTIRE time. Nothing at all was damaged during our time of renting the venue and we had already signed a contract to pay for anything if it was damaged, so staying on everyones heels was uncalled for. I have a feeling that the one thing everybody will remember from our wedding is simply the "rude venue owners". Reading back through reviews, I see we wasnt the only ones that had this experience.
