The Shed at Papa's Creek is a brand new wedding venue nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Martin, Georgia. Located on a farm that has been continuously operating for more than 200 years, it is a slice of history that is designed to reflect the beauty of the rural culture and agricultural roots of this beautiful part of Northeast Georgia. The Shed overlooks a beautiful stone bottom creek and the peaceful greenspace that is unique to the foothill region.

The Shed has multiple spaces that make it the perfect background for your dream wedding. The indoor space is an intimate setting designed to highlight the history of North Georgia. With décor created from items and images directly from this rich history, it tells a story from the past that connects directly to your story today. This indoor space can seat up to 175, has handicap-friendly restrooms, and includes a full prep kitchen with double ovens, microwaves, refrigerator, ice maker, and a stainless steel serving counter. It also comes with round tables and chairs for up to 150 included.

Connected to the indoor space is a beautiful large back porch area. Whether you are drinking a big glass of sweet tea or listening to stories from your grandmother's childhood, there is nothing quite like a back porch and a rocking chair. Our porch is a place of quiet and peacefulness. Often you will find our staff on off days sitting on the porch in the evenings just to enjoy the perfect weather and the unrivaled atmosphere of the back porch.

Continuing from the porch is the true highlight of the Shed and that is our double stone terraces. This area is perfect for outdoor weddings. Leading up to our observation deck that overlooks the beautiful stone-bottom creek, this area can easily hold more than 250 guests, all while having easy handicap accessibility. Even the beautiful pictures don't do this space full justice. The babbling waters of the creek, the song of the birds in the air, and the gentle whisper of the breeze through the leaves create an unbelievable atmosphere of peace, serenity, and expectation.

Also included in our wedding packages, is access to our Harrison House accommodation. This 3 bedroom 1 bath house sits just 150 yards away from the venue and makes for the perfect bridal party suite. Designed in true 1950s styling it is a step into the past that allows guests to escape from the hustle and bustle of wedding prep to take a deep breath and reflect on the moment in which they are living. Being able to make those last-minute preparations so close to the venue ensures that you can focus on what truly matters on your special day.

The Shed is located just 2 miles from Interstate 85 and a multitude of hotel accommodations are available. It is halfway between Atlanta and Greenville and just 8 miles from beautiful Lake Hartwell. All of this combines to give easy access and accommodation without sacrificing the quiet solitude of the North Georgia foothills.
