Lakeside Inn is a historic hotel and wedding venue located in Mount Dora, Florida that provides a timeless wedding experience. For more than 140 years, this special and historic venue has helped couples and their families celebrate one of life’s most cherished days. Pass through the stone gateposts of Lakeside Inn and you’ll be instantly transported back in time. Large, moss-draped oak trees and acres of beautifully landscaped grounds sweep down to the white sand shoreline of Lake Dora.
Facilities and Capacity
Lakeside Inn has approximately 5,000 square feet of indoor function space to complement a number of picturesque outdoor spaces. Couples can host their indoor reception in their newly-renovated dining room featuring historic Florida architecture, sparkling chandeliers and a beautiful garden view through floor-to-ceiling picture windows. Our maximum indoor capacity is currently 135 guests.

Five brightly painted yellow and white buildings feature 89 guest rooms and suites, the Beauclaire Dining Room, The Grandview and Alexander Ballrooms, Tremain’s Tavern, a 200-foot verandah lined with traditional white rocking chairs, a grand lobby and The Gatehouse Gift Gallery. The Inn also offers a large lakefront swimming pool and two docks.
Other Services
Lakeside Inn is an ideal location for hosting private parties of varying sizes. In addition to wedding ceremonies and receptions, this location can accommodate all of your wedding events, such as engagement parties, bridal showers, welcome receptions, farewell brunches and rehearsal dinners. This venue is also available for hosting corporate meetings, holiday parties, birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions.
History
Built in 1883, Lakeside Inn is the oldest continuously operating hotel in the state of Florida. This inn is the last of the grand Victorian-era hotels still remaining in Central Florida.

Lakeside Inn is located on Lake Dora in Mount Dora, Florida near Gilbert Park, Palm Island Park, Sunset Park, the Mt. Dora Museum of Speed and the Mt. Dora History Museum. This venue is also located approximately 40 minutes northwest of Orlando and Orlando-area attractions.

Best wedding venue!!!
A huge part of what made our day so smooth and stress-free was Kristen Terrell. She was phenomenal from start to finish. Kristen was there for us every step of the way, making sure every detail was exactly how we envisioned it. Her support put my fiancé (now husband!) completely at ease, and her kindness and professionalism made all the difference.
Because of the timing of our wedding, we were even able to take advantage of some great perks, like included chairs and additional amenities that really helped bring everything together. And as an extra special bonus, we received a free night at the hotel—such a wonderful touch! Our suite was beautiful, spacious, and elegant. I truly felt like royalty relaxing there after our celebration.
Overall, Lakeside Inn gave us the Humost amazing wedding day. The setting, the staff, the value, and the memorable touches all exceeded our expectations. I would recommend this venue in a heartbeat to any couple looking for a romantic, timeless, and stress-free place to say “I do.”

Such an amazing and unique venue. If you want a breathtaking view with an "old Florida" feel, this is your spot.
This is such a picture perfect place! I have had the pleasure of doing a few shoots here and you couldn't ask for a better view. A seaplane was docked and it made for some really memorable images for the couple.
