Lakeside was the perfect setting for our wedding and fit our budget well! The property manager Natalie was a quick communicator, got us in quickly to tour the venue, and was a big help along the way as we peppered her with questions while planning. The venue is completely DIY, which allowed us to customize our wedding where we needed and helped us keep costs down too. We had ample time to set up for the wedding and had free range use of the indoor space as well as the deck and surrounding wooded area. We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony, took photos on the trails, and guests enjoyed being able to spend time outside on the deck throughout the night. While the venue could use a little TLC and some updates, it was great for what we needed and budget friendly.

We loved working with Lakeside and Natalie for our wedding. One of the biggest bonuses I can give this venue is how flexible Natalie was when setting up or visiting. We could come by months a head of time to measure things out and take pictures. We had access days leading up to our date to drop off any decorations and we were allowed in the day after to clean up at our pace. You cannot put a price on that level of access, especially as DIY bride! The venue is also so beautiful and the grounds were perfect for outdoor pictures. I'd highly recommend visiting in your wedding season to see how it looks. I would say that we had around 50-60 people and the venue didn't look empty, it looked decently full so keep that in mind if you're planning to have 100+ people. Lastly I'd ask Natalie to send you the venue's website or to find a photographer's previous work there to get a full scope of the place! This venue was absolutely perfect! It was very decent priced and BEAUTIFUL. We got married outside which was beautiful and the reception inside which was also beautiful. This was the most flexible venue in the world. Very easy going. I loved that I was the only bride there and didn't have to worry about running into another bride and have other party's crash my wedding. I loved that I had the venue for the whole day so I was able to set up and get ready there and pick the times for ceremony and reception (I had an extended wedding 3-10). I had a perfect wedding day at a perfect venue. We had numerous compliments on the venue, so much that on of our guest are engaged and actually fell in love with lakeside clubhouse too and book them as well. This venue was included in the cost of our catering with Summit Caterers, but I think it can be booked separately, as well. It was absolutely breathtaking. My husband and I were looking for a place that felt different---we didn't have the budget for an out-of-state wedding, and we had guests that couldn't travel far, but we didn't like the facilities at parks nearby, and we didn't want a wedding in a big hall or golf club. This was the winner! The hall looks small, but comfortably fit our 120+ guests (and can fit up to 150) for a buffet-style wedding. The dance floor was big and the bar was gorgeous. But the best part of this place was the beautiful protected forest that surrounds it, and the big, open deck on the back side of the hall. Our guests loved being able to go out there with a drink and enjoy the view of the trees, the lake, and a beautiful hidden beach just a short walk away. And our photos were outstanding. I loved this place, and would recommend it for anyone looking for a unique space!

Pros of the venue: Natalie, the manager, is extremely responsive via text, email, and phone. She also lives nearby so is very willing to unlock the venue for visits, and decor set up. She is also very responsive to any complaints or concerns. The price is affordable. You are able to put up your decor day before and take down day after. Natalie even let us begin set up two days prior. The outside area is beautiful and having indoor/outdoor access was nice for our July wedding.
Cons: The venue is a bit outdated and could use some refurbishment. There is no day of coordination, so if your caterer requires that, keep that in mind.
Overall, we were happy with our choice and it was a good fit for our big day.

This venue is fantastic if you're looking for something with an outdoors-y feel! You can decorate however you want, and you're free to bring in your own caterer and beverages. My husband and I got married outside amidst the pines, and our reception inside was wonderful. And our pictures taken outside and by the lake are gorgeous! The woman who schedules all events here is super responsive and helpful in all of the planning!
