The staff was amazing. I would recommend the boat club to everyone. They gave lots of GREAT ADVICE.

Although it was more work to set up, tear down and clean...I wouldn’t have wanted our special day anywhere else! The view was amazing and our sunset pictures left me speechless! It was beautiful and luckily for us the weather was amazing! We didn’t have an issue getting our deposit back and I found the manager extremely helpful with all of our needs (I contacted her about the wedding arch, size of tables, etc. and she was always quick to respond).

I am very excited to celebrate my special day at the lake nepessing boat club. The price is amazing and the management is extremely flexible and helpful. This is the best way for any couple to save money and still have the wedding they want. I highly recommend the boat club. Call Krista and she will get you all set!

Krista, the Hall Manager, was amazing! She dealt with all of my silly questions leading up to our big day! She was so patient and understanding with us. We will definitely be back to utilize this venue for future gatherings. What a site it was!

From beginning to end everything was just as we were told, there was no hassle on anything, the communication was spot on. Loved the fact we were able to create exactly how we wanted it all to look. Thanks again to the manager who always was just a phone call away.

3 weeks before my wedding the governor signed an order that only 10 people are allowed in a public building. So I asked Krista how many tables will fit in the pavilion and Krista told me their tables and chairs are not allowed outside, but she suggested I rent a tent, tables and chairs. I was very upset that I had to spend more money to rent these things to be able to have my wedding there, when the facility I rented came with tables and chairs but I was willing to do it. It turned out to be impossible because I could not find any rental place that would drop off that morning and pick up that night. Which is their requirement because of other bookings. Krista's suggestion was to tear down the big tent at the end of the night and store it in their garage. That is something i should not have to do because I am paying to rent the facility tables and chairs. Even if I was willing to do that I could not find any company that would call ahead to schedule a pick up with her. Bottom line I could not have my wedding there because they would not allow me to use their tables and chairs, and I could not find a way to rent them and she refused to refund the deposit.

So we booked this venue very early on in our planning. (Apparently a lot of other vendors want to know where you are getting married.) Through the whole planning process I felt like it was a rollercoaster planning for our wedding at this place and it was very stressful. Although, our wedding turned out beautiful and I married my very best friend.... I am not sure that I would have choose that place again for our day. The best part of the venue is the lake in the background and sunset pictures later on in the night. There is also a hall and 2 pavilions on site. The owner has chairs and tables for inside (you have to put up, take down, and then put up whatever she wants to have inside). There is also picnic tables in the pavilions. The picnic tables look a little rough and the pavilions could use some new paint I think. Actually, the whole venue needs some TLC. The ground is uneven and there were even some holes in the ground, my mom brought potted plants from home to put in the holes so that no one would break their ankle or something. The hall can hold 200, I would not recommend having 200 attend reception though... it would be very tight. If you would like to have your wedding at this location I would recommend asking the owner what repairs would be made before your wedding. For example, the holes in the ground were from them removing a play structure. I was totally okay with that going however, I wish the grounds were ready our company.

The view was beautiful. Had the weather cooperates it would have been incredible. The view alone was worth the price. However, flexibility is close to zero. Communication wasn't very pleasant with the manager. Needs were mostly met but not without a little attitude. Not to say everyone's experience will be unplesant, go check it out for yourself. Overall, we had a beautiful day and the view was amazing. Hall itself does have chairs and tables but you must bring all utensils, serving ware, linens. There is some built in lights, those were nice to have. There's also a Dj set up, but you can't bring it outside, so there's an extra fee with most DJ's as they have to bring two separate set ups. That can get costly, so heads up.

Also, should know that the 300.00 sec. Dep. Is NOT refundable unless there's a death or military, any other circumstance doesn't count and you won't see that money again, regardless of how early you call.

I still reccomend this place but be warned, there are some flaws. Again, that view was worth it.

The venue is beautiful and our day and night were fantastic. That being said, the service and hassle you get before and after your event is not worth it. We were told when we originally went out that because our event was Saturday, we would have access to the venue on the Friday before to set up. Months later we received a call that another customer wanted to book it the night before and therefore we'd have to pay extra money to have it that night. I would have been fine with this had we been told when we met to check out the venue but we weren’t.

Manager is not flexible about meeting to go over things / look at the venue. These meetings are scheduled when another group is viewing the venue, not when it is convenient for you. We were not informed about the outdoor speakers not working until we went out a week before our wedding to look everything over one more time. The plugs in one of the pavilions was not working the day of our wedding. The seat on one picnic table was broken and almost caused an elderly relative to take a nasty spill. We set it aside but it was moved back the next day. Other picnic tables had nails that stuck out when you sat down on them. Don’t count on getting your deposit back unless you hire a professional cleaning crew either. We missed a few things but I watched the counters and floors get wiped down / mopped and that still wasn’t good enough.

Don't bother cleaning up because you will not get your security deposit back. Krista the manager ignored the contract that we had that let us have until 10 am the next morning to do a walk tthrough with her and clean up any other things she wanted cleaned. The day before my wedding we were notified that we needed to meet with her at 730 am the morning after the wedding. On the day of the wedding she pushed that time back to 830 am. We spent 2.5 hours cleaning up the night of the wedding. We have pictures that show the cleanliness of the hall. My maid of honor met with her at 830 and Krista told her a few things that needed to be attended to. She took care of it all and Krista said ok. A few hours later I got an extremely rude text from Krista stated I would not get any of my deposit back .If she already thought that then she shouldn't have had the maid of honor clean up those few things and act as if everything was fine. She continued with rude texts to both my mother and my husband which were completely uncalled for and completely unprofessional. It a nice affordable venue but had I known that none of my deposit would be returned I would have gladly jus given her the money and let my family and friends enjoy the night and the next morning and skipped cleaning up a hall she manages. We will see her in small claims court....pictures and a contract speak wonders.
