I fell in love with this place in photos before even having a tour. It was exactly what we were looking for in a space and for our wedding size it fit perfectly- about 80 people. Tons of charm and character to the space. We had the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all there. Made it easy for guests and no driving around. Stephanie the event director was great to work with, always answered any questions we had, and helped guide us in how to do certain things for the day and helped wherever during the big day. The rest of the staff were all so nice and helpful. All of our guests loved and complimented the space and food, it was so amazing. Would 100% do our wedding here again and recommend it if the look is your style.

My wedding was a dream! That's not to say that there were not hiccups, but Debbie (Director of Events) was beyond helpful. She is always very professional, calm, helpful, understanding and helped me solve everything quickly while looking effortlessly cool! I highly recommend them to anyone who's looking for a beautiful venue, amazing food and VERY professional service. The team at Lake Forest Country Club makes your big day magical and takes away a lot of the stress from you.

We had our wedding in August of 2020. We looked at a couple of other venues but as soon as we walked into the LFCC – decision was made! Actually it was probably made from the parking lot:) The club is so pretty both inside and outside... Major selling points for us were that there was no minimum amount or number of guests required to have our event on a Saturday and that it was so close to our home in Hudson. We also wanted an inside ceremony so we needed a room with pretty décor and the club definitely provided just what we wanted! Stephanie was a pleasure to work with at all times. Covid made the planning an absolute mess but she was always so positive, responsive and encouraging and we worked through everything. It was the happiest day, everything went flawlessly, both service and food were amazing. It rained almost all day and it didn’t matter :) We absolutely loved having our wedding here!

We looked at several venues but immediately fell in love with Lake Forest Country Club. With it's warm lighting and dark wood, it gave us the cozy but classy vibe we were going for. We were able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place which made it not only convenient for us but also for our guests. Stephanie Dickens is the even coordinator and we so enjoyed working with her. She was always available to answer questions and helped with so many little things that popped up on the day of the wedding. She definitely knows her stuff when it comes to weddings and was very focused on helping us make our wedding the experience we really wanted it to be. The food was exceptional and our guests had so many compliments about both the food and the venue. You won't be disappointed having your wedding at Lake Forest...promise!

Stephanie, her team and the club are absolutely AMAZING! Stephanie was attentive, kind and extremely helpful. Throughout our year and a half long wedding planning process Stephanie was always there to answer every single one of my questions and to reassure me that things would be handled. Even the day of our wedding Stephanie and her staff were so caring and always made sure that my husband and I had everything we needed so we did not have to lift a finger or leave our guests.

We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the club and each space (indoor and outdoor) was more breathtaking than the last!

A big thing for my husband and I was to have great food and Lake Forest exceeded our expectations. The food made in house by the chef was delicious! While my husband and I greeted guests at dinner, the number one thing everyone said to us was how great the food was and how impressed they were with every plate.

We utilized the beautiful and spacious get ready room on site and the hair and makeup artists were so happy with how large the vanity workspace was. We also had breakfast and lunch served in our get ready room with drinks, which made the day so much easier. They even made sure to accommodate our dietary restrictions and food allergies so everyone was able to have something to eat and drink.

Overall I cannot thank Stephanie and her team enough for being so kind and accommodating. They really made our wedding day what we had always dreamed of!

We couldn't be happier about selecting to have both our ceremony and reception at Lake Forest. They have a beautiful outdoor space, but we actually fell in love with the indoor space even more. It looks like the inside of Beauty and the Beast's castle! I'm still getting compliments about the space and food! All of the food is delicious! But it was coordinator, Stephanie, that really made it worth it! She was a tremendous help, every step of the way. Especially since we were planning from Columbus. Stephanie was so quick to answer any questions I had, and every time we saw her in person I felt like I knew her for years! Every employee we encountered was so sweet. And on our wedding day, I was not worried about a single thing! I was actually able to relax in the beautiful bridal sweet. Our experience at Lake Forest was absolutely perfect!

We actually used Lake Forest for both our ceremony and reception. It is such a breathtakingly gorgeous venue. We had our ceremony outside overlooking the lake in October when the leaves had just starting changing colors. The cocktail hour was on the patio outside too. Both were beautiful at sunset.The reception was inside and spanned several rooms. The dark wood, fireplaces, and grand staircase were what sold me on the venue initially and were stunning in pictures.
I was worried about booking a country club at first because I have heard from friends that they can be strict about their guidelines. Jennifer (the event coordinator at Lake Forest) could not have been more accommodating. I don't think anyone told us "no" once our entire wedding day. They even have a room upstairs for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready. It is a huge and relaxing space that worked perfectly for my group.
The food and wine were phenomenal. My husband and I are both foodies who appreciate fine cuisine. We were again a little worried about choosing a country club because they aren't necessarily known for the best food and at our tasting, the food was good but a little salty. We made sure to let the chef know. We need not have worried, the beef medallions and salmon were outstanding. Our guests are still raving about how good everything was.
In summary, I highly recommend Lake Forest for both ceremony and reception!

We booked our wedding with Lake Forest for August 28, 2015 after seeing the lake at sunset, the patio, and the large windows overlooking it all. (Prices for a Friday event were very reasonable - Saturday events have a minimum requirement that we couldn't meet with an intimate wedding of 60 people.)

Jennifer Bachman became the Director of Events starting early in 2015. She was incredibly easy to work with, super flexible, accommodating, and made our wedding reception beautiful. I could not have asked for more. Several of our guests (including me) had dietary restrictions and allergies requiring specific changes to the menu. Jennifer was on top of all of these needs, starting with our tasting - which was superb - and she made sure each person had the right entree, offering different options so that we had no concerns.

On the day of the event, we were very well taken care of. The server saw that my husband and I had to leave our plates to have pictures taken at sunset (gorgeous over the lake!), and she not only offered to wrap up our food but sent home completely separate new entrees for us! Jennifer personally put out a vase for my bouquet and a cloth napkin to blot the water from the stems so it wouldn't get on my dress. She ordered floor-length linens for us and patiently went over all the table arrangements and last-minute changes to our guest list. My mother-in-law dropped off cookies for a dessert table the night before, and they were arranged beautifully at the reception with tiered displays, napkins, and plates. We had a sparkler send-off at the end of the night, and it was completely organized for us from start to finish. We only needed to drop off the sparklers!

Everything was perfect, and our guests commented repeatedly on what a beautiful venue we found with delicious food. We loved the outdoor option for cocktails as well! Go with Lake Forest and Jennifer if you want an easy-to-plan, beautiful, wonderful wedding!

We were the first wedding on the new lakeside terrace. All was perfection!

The venue was beautiful. The event coordinator was so helpful and on top of things that the day went smoothly. The food was fantastic. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Thank you!
