We had to postpone our wedding twice due to COVID, and contacted Mauro at La Fiorentina with fairly short notice before our wedding date. He spent the time to explain what they could do with their flavors, and we decided on their fruit and whipped cream cake, which was made with ombre frosting to coordinate with the bride's lavender colored dress. It was delicious! Mauro made sure everything was exactly as we wanted it, even sourcing gluten free cupcakes for guests with dietary restrictions!

Fiorentina handled our wedding cake and it was so delicious. We worked with Mauro (the owner) who is great. He is so easy to work with. He listened to what we wanted and told us what could work and was honest about what couldn’t. We showed him a few photos and ended up with the perfect wedding cake. My Italian family loved the cake, and all of the pastries and cookies. He really know what he’s doing.

La Fiorentina was exactly what we were looking for. My wife and I were married in July and were so impressed with the cake service. We were looking for a simple cake (landed on a two tier chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting with small polka dots) to cut during reception but not to serve as the primary dessert and also needed a bakery that would accommodate the fact that we don't live in the Northampton area. After initially tasting the cake, we were able to talk all the other specifics via email and phone and the final cake was exactly what we wanted!

Our wedding cake was included with our wedding package from our venue, and La Fiorentina was their preferred vendor. Growing up we always got cannoli's and pastries from there, so I was thrilled that our wedding cake would be made by them.

When we went for our first meeting we went over what kind of flavors we were looking for and special circumstances with each type of cake, and then we were sent home with several kinds of cake to try. Once we knew which kind of cake, I emailed the kind of cake and a couple of pictures of what we would like it to look like. They coordinated with our venue on delivery and cake topper, etc. It was so easy and so convenient. The hardest part was choosing the flavor!

We went with the Ricotta cake (cannoli filling) and it was delicious and it looked just as we had planned! Very happy with how it came out.

Best cannolis in the Valley! Everyone loved them, they were reasonably priced, and so much better than wedding cake!

La Fiorentina was the preferred bakery for our wedding venue. We met with their manager to talk about the details (number of guests, style, etc.), and were sent home with a few samples of cake to try at our leisure. Honestly, the hardest part was choosing which kind of cake to serve. Once we decided on a flavor, we sent along a picture of what we wanted our cake to look like, and they bakery took care of everything else. They even coordinated with the venue around delivery so we never had to deal with the logistics. It was great!

We used La Fiorentina as it came with our package at Union Station. However, if it had not we would have gone somewhere else. At first Mauro was super friendly and seemed like a good fit. As time went on and we worked to decide the cake it just seemed like we were told no to everything we asked with little help on alternatives. There was an email chain going back and forth with us and Mauro, trying to understand the flavor options for the cake style we wanted. It became so confusing I asked Mauro to call me to talk it through as email communication just wasn't going anywhere. Instead he sent me 3 more emails and I had to call him. We were also asked what fruit we wanted for the cake, we gave the answer and were told that would be extra. So we said whatever comes with the price would be okay and we were told "actually anything would be extra" and that we had to bring the fruit to him 3 days before the wedding. This didn't sound right as the fruit could go bad in the time so 3 days before I called to confirm, Mauro never showed to the bakery that day so an employee agreed with us that the time frame didn't sound right and gave permission to bring it in the day before. I also requested a cupcake on the side for me and confirmed it with Mauro in person the day before the wedding and it was forgotten. Our reception manager literally ran over to the bakery during the reception, in the rain, and got me the cupcake. Overall Mauro wasn't disrespectful, he just wasn't super easy to work with and felt like we kept hitting a wall.
