Kristi is AMAZING, and to say she was worth investing in is an understatement! She was so helpful in coordinating my wedding and was very responsive. I did a lot of planning on my own and I can’t tell you how much she was able to take off of my plate. She did a fantastic job and I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Kristi did a great job with Day of Coordination. Our day went smoothly because of her efforts, and she definitely helped us with a few last minute issues, as well as special help up front finding our venue (which was proving difficult for our guest count and budget). However, in hindsight, we wish we'd hired Kristi for full coordination, as the planning up to that point took a toll on our sanity.

We cannot say enough about our Wedding Planner, Kristi Varela from Keaton Events. We knew Kristi from her involvement with fundraising luncheons and Galas with our local American Heart Association Chapter of Northwest Houston. She is a professional in every sense of the word.
The day after the engagement, we booked Kristi. She listened with an open mind to our evolving ideas, encouraged our creativity and helped us incorporate our diverse family traditions into a meaningful day to remember. Her knowledge of vendors and venues was spot on, and when we insisted on exploring for ourselves, she patiently arranged our appointments.
We chose the wedding date based on the completion date of our venue Iron Manor, deliberately avoiding Flu season, Hurricane season and holidays. We excitedly monitored the construction progress online from drawn plans to open house and were thrilled with the design and acoustics.
Calm, confident and ready for our big day just four days before our wedding -Covid-19 restrictions went into effect. Concerned, we contacted Kristi about rescheduling everything. She miraculously managed to get us a new date and move all our vendors in just one day! When our original family friend “day of” coordinator (not recommended by Kristi) backed out three weeks before our new date, Kristi provided us with resources available to provide that service. After all, we wanted Kristi to be our guest at the reception and not be working- but join us in celebrating!

We are SO thankful we found Kristi who helped us make our wedding dream come true from start to finish. She met with us over a year before our wedding and first helped us envision what we wanted. She contacted all vendors for us and kept up with them on the day of our wedding. She payed attention to details that we would have otherwise overlooked, especially as we became so busy with family the week of the wedding. Probably the best thing about Kristi is that she makes you feel comfortable that she is handling everything. I was not stressed at all, even when we had to move our entire outdoor wedding to another venue that was indoors due to possible rain just three days before the wedding itself. She did so much on the day of the wedding! I can’t even begin to name all the things she did from folding our napkins on the tables in the morning, picking up our desserts and setting them up and so much more and still somehow managed to be present throughout the whole thing, all the way to the end of the event. Our wedding was perfect in every way! I HIGHLY recommend Kristi if you’re looking for a sweet, responsive, and experienced planner for your wedding or any other special event!!

I'm a photographer and I worked a wedding with Kristi. She is an awesome coordinator to work with! She was everywhere at all times where needed and everything ran smoothly. It caught my attention that she has a very relaxed and calm attitude, which is a great personality to have by your side on your wedding day! I highly recommend Kristi to plan your wedding!

Kristi Varela from Keaton Events was extremely helpful in planning my big day! From flowers, to cake arrivals, to assisting with pictures, to lining up the group… everything went so smoothly with her help. I highly recommend Keaton Events to anyone who is planning a wedding, gala, or any type of party. Kristi was extremely organized, and made sure everything was right on schedule. She even sent me an entire weekend schedule prior to the wedding, as well as templates for bridesmaids and groomsmen itineraries.
