The short version of this review, and the most important take-away, is that you should 100% book Katrina Amante for your wedding if you want to work with a photographer who is friendly and easy going, and who will capture all the beauty and joy of your special day.

Now, for the long version! Tom and I came across Karina Amante's website and reached out almost a year before our February 2024 wedding. I’d told Tom that photos were one of the top three most important things for me for our wedding and we loved what we saw online. We did an engagement shoot at The Row in DTLA and had such a great time posing and chatting with Katrina, who we learned was a previously a professional dancer! Katrina brought great energy to our engagement shoot and was full of ideas, some of which felt a little silly in the moment, but they made for really wonderful photos. During the shoot, I felt comfortable and like I was in really good hands. And when we got the gallery of images back, we knew immediately we were working with the perfect photographer.

Fast forward to February 2024. In advance of the wedding, we worked out a timeline. Katrina was bringing a second shooter for the 10 hour gig and the timeline broke down who would be where and capture what approximately when. I am a planner and seeing this level of detail really helped calm my nerves. The day of the wedding, Katrina and her second shooter Allie arrived at the bridal suite before noon and after getting situated, split up to divide and conquer (groomsmen were in another part of the hotel, while the ladies remained in the suite). Katrina and Allie (who is also a complete delight) were a constant, but not at all obtrusive, presence on our wedding day. And so much of that day is a blur now…it went so fast…but when I look at the hundreds of images in the gallery Katrina provided, I am transported back in time.

And that’s really what we want from a wedding photographer, right? Someone who captures the energy, excitement, and love from the best day of our life and lets us relive it all again and again. Looking at my gallery, thinking about the albums and prints I want to make, I feel so grateful to have found the perfect photographer. I can’t begin to thank Katrina and Allie enough for the gift they’ve given us.

Katrina was SO incredible. Not only were our photos absolutely perfect, but she was so amazing to work with. My husband and I are not good at taking pictures and were definitely worried about posing for our pics. But Katrina and Brian were so professional and helpful and amazing. They really made us look good and captured the day so we can revisit it for the rest of our lives. I literally cannot recommend Katrina and her services enough! :)

Katrina is the most sweetest and professional wedding photographer! We booked Katrina for our engagement session and wedding day. She went above and beyond throughout our wedding journey. She definitely has to be one of the most passionate and hard-working people out there! She captured the most precious and candid moments of our wedding day. We can't decide which pictures are our favorites because we love them all! Both our engagement and wedding photos are absolutely phenomenal! Overall, Katrina provides amazing and high-quality photos. Katrina and Allie (second photographer) were absolutely the best on our wedding day. They were so positive and friendly, and took the stress out of what should have normally been a stressful process. They had wonderful ideas for photos, but were also open to our ideas. We had zero regrets about going with them even before we saw our photos - and then we saw the photos and were somehow even more impressed. Everything was captured perfectly and we couldn’t be happier. Truly a 10/10 experience!

Katrina was an amazing photographer for our wedding! We met via Zoom to meet because of covid, but from that first meeting we knew she was the right fit for us. She listens to what you want and makes it happen. She went above and beyond our expectations, throwing in some extra time and even some extra edited photos. Her turnaround time is super fast too - 2 weeks! Katrina and her 2nd photographer were flexible, clear, and great to work with.

There are no words to describe how satisfied my husband and I are with having picked Katrina to not only do our wedding photos but also choreograph our first dance and group dance ( she does both y’all !). When we met Katrina for the first time, Jason and I instantly felt at ease and knew we were in excellent hands. From the time Katrina spent putting together dances for us, showing up for rehearsal (just out of the goodness of her heart!) to help my bridal party practice our dance, and being timely and taking initiative the day of for our wedding photos, we simply couldn’t be happier with who we chose to capture the most important day of our lives. I’m so thankful we found her and anyone would be silly to pass her up !!!! So so so satisfied !!

Omg hire Katrina! She saved me when my previous photographer canceled. She was so incredibly sweet and affordable! She was absolutely amazing to work with and so was her assistant. Friendly, professional, responsive, extremely fun...I can’t say enough good things about her!!
