Katie is the photographer you want with you on your wedding day. As a bride, there are a million different things going on and Katie makes sure that none of them stress you out. She makes sure that you know this is your day and truly wants you to enjoy it. She is fantastic and a true professional. She does her homework when it comes to scouting locations and will direct you exactly where to go.

Not only is she wonderful to work with as a person... her photos are also AMAZING! Everything was just perfect. I cannot imagine working with any other photographer on such an important day. Katie is who you want. She's the best and I give her the highest recommendation possible.

Katie was so amazing!!
She showed up early to view the venue, made sure every shot happened but never made us feel rushed or awkward. She asked me what type of direction I wanted, I said ALL you can give, and she did that without seeming bossy or apathetic.
She would show us a picture here and there throughout the shoot which gave us the confidence that she knew what she was doing, and that we looked great :)

I would hire her again in a minute. So worth it.

We worked with Katie for our engagement photo shoot and our wedding and she was fantastic at both. I loved her portfolio but was nervous that we wouldn't connect the first time we met, but I didn't have anything to worry about! Katie is fantastic at putting you at ease (let's face it, kissing on camera can be awkward) and making you feel comfortable. We loved our engagement photos and cannot wait to see our wedding pictures as we know they will be fantastic. There are two pieces of feedback I want to share, one from one of my bridesmaids who said "Katie is fantastic, whenever I ask her to take a picture of something, she's already taken it - you're covered!" and my Dad who said "She's very in control but not at all rude". Loved working with Katie and if we ever have the opportunity to do so again, we absolutely will!

Katie is amazing. She is not only a wonderful and talented photographer but she is present and aware of her surroundings. My worst fear in hiring my wedding photographer was that I'd get someone who was robotic and would just shoot the same photos they do for every wedding but Katie was the complete opposite! She is creative and she blends in so well that you don't even know she's taking photos of each spectacular moment! She is professional but also was just like a girlfriend (I had a wardrobe malfunction and she stepped right on up to help sew me in!). I am so excited to see our photos, I know we were in good hands, and I know that anyone who hires her will not regret it one bit. Rest assured, Katie's got your back!

My dad is a photographer, so choosing the perfect photographer for our wedding day was extremely important. Not only did this person have to wow us, but they had to impress my father. My fiancé and I interviewed a couple different people, but when we met Katie it was a no brainer. She was very professional but had a relaxed and playful attitude at the same time. She answered all of my dad’s technical photography questions with a smile on her face and she impressed us because she was so enthusiastic to photograph our venue and us. Katie takes amazing photos as we could tell from her portfolio when first meeting her, but after our engagement session with her we were even more excited to work with her because of her positive attitude and creative eye.

The day of our wedding was flawless and Katie had all of the perfect, romantic areas picked out before we arrived. She knew exactly where she wanted to take pictures, what would be the most flattering, and listenedd to all of our opinions when we had any. Both Katie and her assistant were organized, efficient, and fun to hang out with the entire day; they effortlessly put a smile on everyone’s faces. After receiving the photographs back we are thrilled with how all of them turned out. They captured our day perfectly and documented every aspect that we want to remember. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer than Katie Parra!

Katie was amazing! My husband and I met Katie after our first photographer fell through. Katie was very flexible and put us at ease right away. It was clear after our first meeting that our styles were going to mesh very well; easy balance of style and originality mixed with the more traditional portraits that you still want from such an occasion. Also, Katie was very personable, and had a professional yet relaxed style that kept us at ease and natural in our shots. Katie was awesome to work with and was a real comfort to have around. As someone who hasn't been to very many weddings it was nice to have someone there who had been to a great many that could offer advice and friendship on such an important day. She took a great variety of photographs of all of the important details and everything turned out beautifully, and my husband I felt that we were portrayed as looking our best. She got along well with everyone there, and had tons of creative ideas. Even though our wedding location was an hour and a half from where Katie lived at the time, she made a point to drive up before hand and check things out so she would be prepared with some good ideas and interesting locations within just a mile or two from the church to take charming photographs of my husband and myself.
