If you work with me for your wedding photography, you'll get honest photos that celebrate who you authentically are with one another. I want your love to shine in your photos, and will never stick you in a pose that makes you feel uncomfortable or awkward. I'm there for the belly laughs, the eye-rolls, the snuggles, and the little looks you share when you think no one else is watching. Your images will be timeless because I don't follow the trends--I follow great light, and real emotions.
I'm laid back and will roll with the punches, but know how important it is to have an organized timeline and stick to it. I'll be there to support you for the whole wedding day, but will never be overbearing or control what you do with your time. It's your day, and I just want to document it honestly.
I'm a Birkenstock-rocking, out and proud nerd...and bisexual, who loves Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Dr. Who. I'll use my dry british sense of humour to take the edge off during your photos so you never feel awkward. When I'm not photographing rad Colorado people in love, I'm singing to my vegetable garden wishing things would grow faster, hiking in the foothills with my pack of three pitbull rescues, or cuddled up with my husband on the couch drinking a gluten-free beer.

We are so happy with our decision to hire Kate! Neither me nor my husband are too comfortable in front of the camera and in fact, we even toyed with the idea of not having a photographer at all, but I am SO glad we changed our minds. Looking at the photos now I cannot even imagine not having them. Kate did a fantastic job of capturing the day and really telling a story. She was so good at putting us at ease and just making sure we had a good time and looked like ourselves. She was also able to find us a beautiful spot for our photos despite a rather last-minute venue change due to COVID. It is such a treat to be able to share such great photos with all our friends and family – many of which were not able to be there in the first place. Excellent photography experience.
Kate was the perfect photographer for our small elopement ceremony. We could not have asked for a better experience. She went above and beyond her contractual obligations to insure we had the best service and experience. I'm tempted to fly her in just for our reception that we will be holding later on!

Best photographer for LGBTQ+ couple!
Kate was the perfect photographer for our private elopement! After looking around at other photographers, it was a no-brainer to go with Kate for three main reasons: (1) her visible commitment to celebrating queerness, (2) her cool style that matched what we were looking for visually, and (3) her transparent pricing structure that included an elopement package option. Almost no one else tells you up front what it will cost, and very few have a smaller pricing tier for elopements/partial day commitments. Kate was the exception to this! Also, day-of, she was fantastic: she was able to easily take charge and "direct" us, which we definitely needed, since we're not used to being in front of the camera. Her turnaround time was also great--we had our "sneak peek" photos within 4 days, and our full gallery within 3 weeks of our wedding! We highly recommend Kate to anyone who's looking for a photographer!

Gorgeous Photos! Super fun & made us feel comfortable in front of the camera.
Kate was an absolute joy to work with! My husband is a photographer himself, so he was being fairly, ahem, picky when it came to choosing our wedding photog... but Kate ended up being perfect!!
Not only did the photos turn out BEAUTIFULLY...
(she took the perfect mix of portraits, artistic shots, detail shots, candid shots - and edited them all perfectly)
But she went above and beyond in the process! First, she met us at our Airbnb to take photos with our 3 dogs, then whisked 15 minutes across town to our venue and finished our portraits in under 45 minutes, so we could stay on schedule for the ceremony. She knew all the beautiful photo ops around the Denver Botanic Gardens, and she captured the fall colors while still making the portraits feel intimate and about us. She even brought her film camera because she knew Brett would appreciate it as a photographer!
Neither of us are comfortable in front of the camera, but she made the photoshoot fun and had lots of suggestions for things we could do to make the shots look more natural.
She did a wonderful job capturing the ceremony and reception from different angles, even as a single photographer. And she totally overdelivered with the number of shots she edited!
When we got our photos back, Brett said: "Wow, I never thought I would want to hang wedding photos on the wall, but these are going to be on display in our home forever."
(to which, I was like, uhm, duh ;)
We cannot recommend Kate enough! She was great all around.

Hire her right now :)
My wife and I met Kate at a same-sex friendly wedding show and we knew right away her style stood out from all the rest. All the couples in her photos looked like real people. The way Kate captures the unique features, character and chemistry of the couple made having her our photographer a no-brainer. We won an engagement shoot with Kate which was incredibly generous of her! My wife and I weren’t sure how it would feel having someone with a lens up in our business during those intimate moments but with Kate we felt safe, respected and free to be completely ourselves! We hired her that day to shoot our wedding and the photos are better than we could have ever expected. She’s professional, went above and beyond to ensure we had all the shots we requested the day of and was on top of all communication before we even hired her all the way through the end. Everyone who has seen the photos comment how they wish they would’ve went the extra mile for their own wedding and hiring a photographer. I promise you won’t be disappointed! Would hire her again in a heartbeat!!

If you can't love your photographer, how the hell you gonna love anything else?
Finding the right photographer was a long process for us. We aren't big on posed wedding photos and had been pretty unimpressed by the photos from many of the wedding we attended previously. Kate was suggested to us by our coordinator, and this was actually the best thing our coordinator did for us. Kate was perfect to work with. We immediately clicked with her when we met and that's so important since this is the person who is gonna be all up in your business trying to take good photos of you under pretty stressful conditions. Her pricing is straightforward and more than fair. We also did our engagement shoot with her and the photos were so good that it made us more excited for what we'd get on the wedding day! Kate has a great eye for capturing the best moments, even when you have no idea it's happening. Our photos from the wedding were everything we'd hoped for! She captured our personalities and the energy of the day perfectly. Our wedding was definitely over the top and we couldn't be happier with our choice to have Kate capture it. Her chill demeanor was also the perfect remedy for our stress throughout the day. Photos are the only thing you'll have after the wedding is over, so you really need to take care to find the right person. Kate fit us perfectly and we are thrilled with the results. We highly recommend her to everyone except people who like boring posed generic photos.

The absolute best!!!!
Kate is the absolute best!! She traveled from Denver to Canyonlands National Park, hiked in the Needles District, and took our engagement photos. Then traveled from Denver to Glenwood Springs for the wedding. The photos from the engagement session and wedding are stunning, professional, sensitive, and playful!!! Check our her website and look for our photos with seriously awesome red rocks. I cannot recommend her more highly--the best choice you can make for a wedding photographer!! Larry E.

I can't say enough good things about Kate! She is an absolutely amazing photographer and a wonderful person as well. She photographed my engagement photos (over a year ago) and my wedding in August with an assistant, and seriously all of the photos (and there are over 800 from the wedding) are SO beautiful. Kate does a great job of capturing candid photos that are full of emotion, and they bring me right back to our wedding day every time I look at them. She seemed to understand our vision for the day within a short time of meeting us, and our photos definitely reflect that vision. If Kate’s incredible photography isn’t enough to sell you, she’s also a wonderful vendor to work with. During our wedding, Kate made sure we took all the photos we wanted within the timeline we discussed, and she was fun to work with as well! During the reception, I honestly forgot we were even being photographed, and Kate caught some great candid photos of us dancing etc. Throughout the process, she was extremely responsive and very organized—I never had to remind her of any detail we had discussed, no matter how small. Kate also recommended other excellent vendors to me when I asked for her input, and she patiently answered all my questions about timelines and other details. Her turn-around time on photos is also very impressive! I’m SO glad I hired Kate!

Wow, can I say wow! She did my daughters engagement photos on Pikes Peak, bridal portraits in the mountains around Manitou Springs, and the ceremony and reception in Manitou Springs. She lives in Denver, but traveled to Colorado Springs for each of these separate occasions. The photos are stunning and very real. We picked her based on photos online and we can hardly wait to get the rest of ours to post for you! You wont be disappointed. Our experience was outdoor based but she had great ideas for indoor too!
