When you hire Kate and Jill you aren't just hiring photographers. You're hiring part time dress bustlers and veil fixers, day of timeline creators, built in comedy/entertainment and most importantly, friends. From the moment we first contacted Kate and Jill, we knew we were in great hands. Their portfolio just screams talent -- and while I assumed they didn't only post galleries of models, I originally felt that way and that no matter how talented these two were, my pictures wouldn't come out that way. Fast forward to receiving my gallery and I felt just as beautiful as every one of their prior brides. They found ways to make my husband and I both feel comfortable during the engagement pictures and the entire day of the wedding.
We spent an hour with K&J during our engagement shoot and had so much fun, laughing the entire time! It made us that much more excited for our big day. We had sneak peaks delivered to us while we were still driving home from the shoot location!!!! Amazing. Our engagement gallery was stunning and they are some of my favorite pictures of all time.
For the wedding day, Kate and Jill created our day of timeline for us, with every detail from getting ready photos, time built in to get to the venue, first look, family photos, bridal party photos and more. I used their timeline as the baseline for all of my other vendors and planned the rest of my day around it! I also bothered them on multiple occasions to make tiny changes and it was never an issue :)
During the wedding day, Kate and Jill were professional, prompt and so easy to work with. Their prepared schedule allowed us all to know exactly where we needed to be, and when - which kept us on time throughout the entire day. My MIL, Mom and bridal party all commented on how great they were - they even provided music during some of the group shots to get everyone in the right mood. They knew the exact time to pull us from the cocktail hour to get the perfect sunset pictures. They touched base with us a few times during the reception to make sure we got all the shots we wanted and to pull us out for some beautiful night time pictures. Kate and Jill are magical elves and somehow managed to post EIGHT SNEAK PEAK pictures to their Instagram before the reception was even over!!! It was so nice to be able to see a few pictures so quickly and reflect on our fairytale day.
It took them about 4 weeks to get our full gallery back which was well within the timelines they provided. They delivered over ONE THOUSAND stunning pictures. We could not be more happy with the way our pictures turned out. As as COVID bride, changing plans was the new story of my life. From our original engagement shoot and wedding plans, to our new engagement shoot and wedding plans, Kate & Jill have been everything and more that you would want your photographers to be: organized, responsive, professional, caring, & most importantly: TALENTED! Their photos are as gorgeous as they are (both inside and out). People get lost in the idea that you’re paying just for “beautiful photos” but in reality- you are paying for an experience in addition to the beautiful photos; with Kate and Jill you get it ALL. With them you feel like family, that you were besties your entire life with them. They make you feel confident and beautiful, and they bring out the best side of you as a couple— which translates to their gorgeous work. Their skills are top notch and their personalities just can’t be beat! Plus, they are totally GIRL BOSSES and who doesn’t love that!?

I don't think I could say enough great things about Kate and Jill! For the longest time I just couldn't find the "right" photographer. All of the photos I was seeing from other people just felt so cheesy and posed. Then my cousin forwarded me the Kate & Jill Instagram and I fell in love! The photos don't scream cheesy wedding photos or posed. All of the photos are just so organic. And my favorite part was they don't take posed photos of the Wedding Reception, they are all candids. And I LOVE how they include the engagement session with their packages! It was so much fun to be able to meet them beforehand and get us comfortable in front of the camera. The day of photos called for rain and they were all for taking our photos in the rain so me and AJ said why not and just went for it and it was SO much fun! The also walked us through every step of the processes from start to finish and there were never any hiccups. Our wedding day went perfect! They captured every moment of our special day perfectly! So if you are looking for the perfect photographer duo, Kate & Jill are your girls!

I've been following Jill and her photography for over 10 years - well before she ever met Kate. I've been able to watch her skills grow and evolve. In all the time, I was "patiently" waiting to have some life event big enough and important enough to justify hiring her to take my pictures. When she met Kate and they teamed up, it was impossible for me to not look at all of the picture that they share and just be so envious of their beautiful brides, hopeful for the day that it would be me.

I reached out to kate&jill for the first time before I was even technically engaged. Hands down, they were the one vendor I was 100% sure of even before I had an official ring. When I did finally get engaged, I immediately reached out again and made sure that any venue or location we picked would work for them. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I knew their pictures would be perfect and you can never get those moments back if your photographer misses them. Some places you can cut corners, but after the wedding the pictures are all you have left.

My only fear when we hired kate&jill was that myself and my now husband would ruin their pictures. We're not particularly photogenic, and all of their other photos look like literal models. After we took our engagement pictures, I figured out that they're just absolutely the most amazing photographers in the entire world and even though I'm sure they'll tell you all of their brides are beautiful, they could also make a pile of poop look stunning. They did the most amazing job of making sure we were comfortable for our engagement photos, both by making sure we chose a location that would best reflect us, but also by keeping things light between us. They were constantly encouraging us to laugh and interact with each other, then provided a few helpful cues to make us look amazing.

Fast forward to our actual wedding day. At this point, I had so much more confidence in them (as if that was possible) knowing that not only are their pictures stunning but they would make us look good too. They listened so well to everything we wanted photographed, and true to their style they captured all of the moments, both staged and not. It was so important to us to have lots of candid moments and not be staging portraits or anything, which is exactly what we got. When our pictures were done, it was the most amazing feeling (almost as good as the wedding day) to get to relive the entire day through their lenses.

As if the quality of their photographs isn't enough to hire them, they're also absolutely amazing and beautiful people. They are so professional and really take the time to get to know their couples, their vision, and what's important to them. They were so flexible while we were scheduling everything and so much fun to work with. They truly made us feel comfortable in front of the camera (which is soooo much easier said than done, especially for my husband). They worked with what we wanted to photograph to create a perfect timeline, and were laughing and joking right along with us. But when they needed to, they also were putting some of the groomsmen in line to make sure everything was done. I truly can't say enough good things about them, and anyone who asks I will always recommend their work. Not just for your wedding, but for your life.

Kate & Jill are exceptional! We hired them for our wedding in May 2018 and have nothing but great things to share about them. For starters, they were the only photographers that suggested a Skype meeting rather than a phone call (we were planning our NJ wedding from VA) and they made us instantly feel at ease with them. They mention on their website that they consider their clients friends and I can personally say I see that in every picture (and feel it too!). From that first Skype session to our engagement photos and (of course!) our wedding photos we have been nothing but impressed. The photos are full of light and joy- they truly capture the love that was there that day. Although we were budget conscious for our wedding, we decided to take a chance and “splurge” a bit on Kate & Jill- we are SO thankful we did! Thank you, Kate and Jill, for making our day so special!
