There aren’t enough stars for Kara and Daniel! These two were the absolute dream team. We were so blessed to have such incredible vendors for our dream wedding. When I started the wedding planning process, I knew our photographer was by far one of the most important decisions and definitely one where we wanted the bulk of our budget to go towards. Your photographer is one of the most important investments as you will cherish those photos for lifetimes to come. I researched SO many photographers and exhausted so many other great options, but ultimately came down to Kara and Daninel.

We have so many friends that are all shades of the rainbow and we wanted to make sure everyone was cast in the best light. It’s challenging to make sure everyone is edited and captured in the best way when you’re working with such a diverse group like ours. One of the many reasons I chose Kara and Daniel was because of their diverse portfolio. I really wanted to make sure all our diverse friends and family were represented beautifully just as they are. I also chose them because of their true, timeless quality. Nowadays, you definitely see the trends of the light, airy, bright style with wedding photos, which are stunning. You also see a lot of wedding photos that almost seem to have a filtered look to them, which are also very lovely. But we wanted a very timeless, elegant, classic look that would be true to color and that is just what Kara and Daniel deliver. Our photos turned out absolutely breathtaking and we are thrilled! Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Being very detail-oriented myself, I wanted a photographer that was also very attentive to the detail. One theme you will find as you read through other reviews is their impeccable organization. Kara was so organized and paid such close attention to the details, timeline and planning of both our engagement session and wedding day. We had specific photos, poses, visions, and vibes for some of our looks and photos and she really checked all the boxes and delivered. For that we are forever grateful! Photos are not something you can go back and redo. The moment is there and gone, so we really to make sure we got it right and they truly nailed it! When I tell you I spent weeks researching photographers and interviewing numerous people, I’m not lying. I chose them for several reasons. You will not regret your investment with Kara and Daniel! They are so professional and talented at what they do.

Kara is just the best. We were thrilled when we found out she had moved to Chicago (she was a referral from my St. Louis friend - but our wedding was in Chicago). Not only was she an amazing presence throughout the day, but the photos themselves were great. I am a professional photographer myself so I was nervous about hiring someone who would do things "differently" than I would, but her work is beautiful and her work ethic shows in the photos. She did a fantastic job helping us put together our photo schedule leading up to the wedding (we didn't have a planner so she REALLY helped) and was prompt in all replies. If you're a Chicago bride wanting a chill, fun photographer, Kara is your go-to!

Kara & Daniel were INCREDIBLE! They made the day so fun & stress-free. I was so impressed with how quickly we received our sneak peaks & album. It's evident how dedicated & passionate Kara & Daniel are. The pictures were absolutely breathtaking! Highly recommend!

Working with Kara and Daniel for our photographs was truly the best experience we could have had! From the first time we spoke with Kara about taking the photographs, she made everything so simple and easy for us. Being someone who gets very self conscious taking pictures and doesn't generally like having pictures taken, it's always stressful going into a photo session, but Kara and Daniel are amazing. They made us feel so comfortable, putting us right at ease and really allowing us to enjoy the moment!

Not only that but we got our images back incredibly quickly and they were BEAUTIFUL. Looking at the pictures you can feel the love, emotion, and energy of the moment. Coupled with Kara's beautiful eye for detail, the images are amazing. Truly the only thing difficult about working with Kara and Daniel was choosing which pictures we liked best!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with them, and we cannot recommend Kara and Daniel enough!

Not even just on the wedding day but from the minute we booked her as our photographer it was like a weight was lifted off our shoulders. Wedding planning is stressful enough but Kara planned the entire day out down to the *minute* AND collaborated with all of our vendors so we didn’t have to do anything but enjoy our special day. And the photo turnaround time? LESS THAN TWO WEEKS. The photos are stunning, timeless, and absolutely perfect. Kara and Daniel captured the most special, hilarious, and meaningful moments and were incredible to work with! I can’t stress this enough; do not walk, RUN to book Kara and Daniel for your wedding!!!

We had the privilege of working with Kara and Daniel on our wedding day at the Missouri Botanical Garden. From start to finish, Kara was professional, organized, communicative, flexible, and friendly. When we first met in person for our engagement photoshoot, she made us feel comfortable right away and provided clear directions for different poses throughout the session.

Kara is incredibly talented and has an eye for great shots. She captured amazing backdrops, angles, and lighting on our wedding day. She has strong attention to detail and took the perfect balance of candids and posed photos throughout the day. Additionally, Kara is very familiar with the Missouri Botanical Garden and chose perfect areas for shots.

We couldn’t have hoped for a better photographer to document our special day and are so happy that we were able to work with Kara and Daniel. We love our photos, and our family and friends have expressed to us how impressed they are with our photographer.

Kara and Daniel are just the bees knees :) Two of my old classmates (both extremely intelligent women) chose them for their wedding and their pictures were absolutely gorgeous so I knew I was in good hands but wow, if they aren't just the nicest, easy-going most awesome people to work with on top of that. My husband hates with a fiery passion having his picture taken but you would never know from our engagement photos and our sneak peak wedding pics. They made him feel totally at ease. They were the most supportive of my dream to get our fur babies in some photographs and helped make it happen. They worked with our awesome wedding planner to make a super detailed plan that was easy to follow and even wrangled my ginormous family and grabbed all of our portrait shots in record time. At one point during our couples shots, I looked over and Kara is full on lying on the ground to get this incredible shot in the St. Louis library. I got married last weekend and I already have a sneak preview and I know that the rest of the photos will be absolutely amazing. I can't recommend them enough!!

UPDATE: I wrote this review right after we got married and since then have received all the photos (in record time). They are phenomenal!! We didn't do a videographer and I have no regrets because I can re-live the best moments through Kara and Daniel's work. Cannot recommend them enough!

Kara felt like my partner in crime planning our wedding. She was beyond helpful from day 1 in helping us establish our wedding day timeline. She raised questions I did not even think to ask our vendors. She was consistently professional and organized throughout the process. I was skeptical at first to do an engagement session but we approached it as practice for our wedding day photos and I'm so glad we did! She truly made us feel so comfortable (when we are so NOT comfortable having pics taken of us!). When the wedding day arrived, she was instrumental in making sure the wedding party got from point A to B to take photos. Once the ceremony started, Kara & Daniel disappeared in the best way possible - they did not block any guests views, they weren't in any guests faces to take photos... they blended in with the crowd but were right there if you needed them. Kara turns around the photos in about 2 weeks, too, and the photos are truly stunning. We cannot thank them enough and hope to work with them again in the future!

Words cannot describe how thankful I am that I found Kara when researching wedding photographers. It can be overwhelming picking such an important vendor, but during our first phone call, I immediately felt at ease and knew she was the right choice. Kara is kind, organized, efficient, and truly cares about her work. Her & Daniel are a fantastic team. Kara helped with the overall ease of wedding planning for me. She worked closely with me to help develop my day of timeline, which was a HUGE help. They scoured our large venue for the perfect spots for first looks, group shots, etc and really got creative to use a lot of different elements of our venue, which I absolutely love. Kara kept the whole day moving smoothly and on time for us. At our reception, I even gave her a look when I was ready for the father/daughter dance based on our timeline because the DJ didn't start it immediately & she took care of getting things moving for me. She truly goes above & beyond. We received sneak peaks within a few days of our wedding and our full gallery within 2 weeks, which is incredible timing. She edits her own photos beautifully. Our photos are absolutely stunning!! We cannot thank you enough! You will not be disappointed if you book Kara!

We knew after our very first call with Kara that she was the one for us, and we were absolutely in awe at the quality of her work. She is extremely organized, communicative, and and easy to work with. Kara works very fast during and after the shoot. We loved how efficient she was with the kiddos during our big day. We got sneak peaks and our galleries for the engagement shoot and wedding day faster than I have ever with any photographer. MOST OF ALL her pictures are GORGEOUS!
