Kanteen was founded by Chef Dinesh and Vishwas, two food lovers whose journey began unexpectedly during the COVID years. What started as a creative home-delivered tasting menu quickly grew into something bigger. Inspired by the response—and a shared passion for hospitality—Vishwas left the corporate world to build Kanteen alongside Chef Dinesh, blending culinary artistry with thoughtful execution.

Today, Kanteen is proud to be one of the Bay Area’s most trusted catering teams, serving weddings, private celebrations, and special events with warmth, professionalism, and heart. Our couples and venue partners consistently praise us for our exceptional food quality, seamless execution, and calm, reliable presence on wedding day. Many of our clients come to us through word-of-mouth referrals and glowing reviews, a testament to the consistency and care we bring to every event.

We specialize in regional Indian cuisines—Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Gujarat—while happily accommodating vegan, Jain, gluten-free, and other dietary needs. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and serving destinations across the West Coast, we take on a limited number of events so every couple receives our full attention.
