Not only is Julie a phenomenal photographer who captured our wedding perfectly, she's also a phenomenal person. 10/10 - no notes! The plethora of 5 star reviews says it all. If you're looking for a fantastic collaborator, photographer, and all around A+ human...just hire Julie already. You'll be glad you did!

Hiring Julie and her assistant Kate was an incredible decision, and we were delighted with the experience start to finish! A few months before the wedding we had the chance to get comfortable in front of the camera during Julie's complementary engagement shoot, which also gave us the chance to get to know her first. She is a gifted photographer and kind and generous spirit, and we immediately knew we were in great hands. On the day she easily navigated the flow of events, present but never overbearing. She has a way with the kiddos, which resulted in incredible portraits and action shots of the whole family (including four flower children aged five and under). Opting for the 8-hour package meant Julie's second photographer Kate was able to capture moments we otherwise would have missed. We treasure the final photos, which are colorful, dimensional and full of life. Reviewing them felt like reliving the magic of the day, and we've received countless compliments from everyone we've shared them with. 10/10 would recommend! - K & P

There is no question as to whether or not you should book Julie. You should. Period. We wanted very colorful photos and lots of candids and we were directed by two different people in Julie's direction. We ending up doing our engagement photos with her and fell in love instantly. We felt she was really able to capture our personalities and it was so nice to get to know her before our wedding day. It really made it feel as though we were old friends when the wedding day came. On the big day she was so organized and put everyone at ease. Not only did she give us the colorful photos we wanted but she also managed to catch a few artsy shots that we didn't even know we wanted/needed. We know a lot of professional artists and they were all in awe of Julie's photos from our wedding. The only problem we faced was how can we possibly frame 300 photos and fit them all in our house? Not only is Julie talented, she is also very professional, great with communication, and just a joy to be around. I know we will be reaching out to Julie again for all the photo-worth moments in our life.

Julie is incredible. She completely understood our vision for our wedding. She was patient when it came to wrangling our families and was able to capture all the special moments. Julie didn’t push for any photos that were outside of our comfort areas, but still made sure we had everything. I couldn’t recommend her enough!!

Julie is such a joy to work with and truly made our wedding day so special! She put everyone at ease and did such an amazing job capturing our day in a joyful and sentimental way. She was professional and responsive leading up to our wedding day and we felt like she was paying full attention to us throughout the wedding planning process. First: Julie is amazing and honestly such a beautiful person inside and out and will make you feel like you are too. I met Julie as a customer who came into my shop. She said it was an unplanned stop but that she was looking for a new top or two. As I got to know her I found out she was a wedding photographer! Funny story was that I myself was looking for a wedding photographer! After some hits and misses in the fitting room we ultimately connected over how much planning goes into a wedding and then exchanged information. Fast forward a year and a half later she arrives at my hotel room ready for the big day! Julie made every moment special, every minute lasting, and every second reminding this stressed out bride she was beautiful. From the time we met to the day of the wedding to even after, the communication and kindness was felt every step of the way. She radiates joy, she want you to know how amazing you are, and she will help you and work with you in any way she can along the way. Even driving me, the bride, to her own wedding because for some reason that wasn't planned for, but without hesitation she offered. I can't stress enough how much she did, and when the photos arrived I cried, because she caught everything I missed, everything my brain couldn't process, every moment I can fill in the blanks to, and I will be eternally grateful for that. This is the most important day of your life and she makes it that much more special. Trust me when I say I will be booking her again for my vow renewal and sharing her with anyone I can who needs a photographer for their wedding or even family. We fell in love with Julie’s work as soon as we perused her portfolio. We fell in love with Julie as soon as we met her in person for our engagement shoot. Beyond being a talented photographer, Julie has an incredible skill for capturing both the genuine emotion of a moment, but the most honest, accurate depiction of the real humans she photographs. Every image tells a story, radiates joy, and has a rich, inimitable authenticity to them. When my husband and I saw our wedding gallery we were both floored at how she captured US - she managed to really show us, and who we are, and our relationship, and every emotion we felt on our biggest day. We felt so seen by her! The energy, openness, warmth and humor she approaches her work with is contagious and we didn’t feel awkward or silly at any point (which always inevitably happens for some of us in front of a camera). Julie has a magical gift of instilling confidence into her subjects, and she makes people look GOOD. I still can’t believe it’s us in the photos she took, she has a brilliant eye, a richly charming style, and undoubtedly cares about her work from getting to know us (her clients turned friends - BEST FRIENDS. WHETHER SHE LIKES IT OR NOT), the actual photo experience, and the final delivery. Julie is more than a pro, she is an artist and a true shepherd of memories.

It was our lucky day when we found Julie for our wedding photographer! Our initial Zoom consultation call with her was so much fun - We found out right away that all of us love hiking, camping, and backpacking, we’re all into vegan/vegetarian foods, and that we’ve all got some full moon crystal collections going. These were three themes we wanted to tie into our wedding, so we signed Julie on board immediately! Communication and getting together all the clerical details with Julie was a breeze from start to finish, she is so professional, organized, and experienced in the wedding game. Early on her knowledge and experience came in handy - We got caught in some initial wedding coordinator confusion and suddenly needed to find a new coordination team later in the game than we had hoped, and although we already had a full list of vendor recommendations from Julie, she sent us another detailed list of specific recommendations based on what we needed! That totally isn’t in her job description, and she did it anyway to help and support us personally, which made us feel really cared for amongst all of her various clients. We weren’t sure where we wanted to do our engagement session, but during our first call, Julie got so excited at the idea of doing an outdoorsy shoot with us, we were then inspired to have it at the first campsite we ever went camping together! This was the best decision - Julie was a rockstar, we were all climbing over boulders and up steep trails behind camp while she also managed all her camera gear. And we all had *so much fun*, even though we’d just met in person for the first time, it was so easy to hang out, not to mention way easier than I thought it would be to be in front of the camera for so long! It really felt like we were all just hanging out and exploring the area, Julie is so fun and makes the photoshoot process feel so natural, there were times we hardly realized we were getting photos taken. We stayed the rest of the weekend to camp and were so surprised when Julie emailed us a few sneak peeks late that same night after she got home. The whole rest of the stay we kept looking at them and couldn’t believe that more were still to come. We got to use a bunch of them on our wedding website and holiday card, and everyone kept saying they really hoped the same photographer would be shooting the wedding! As we handled final preparations, Julie was still there to support us in a handful of random concerns, and we really appreciated her having a whole form to fill out for what specific shots we wanted throughout the day. (Again, her coming through with that organization and experience made our preparations so easy and lessened so much stress!) Come wedding day, I was so glad we had a familiar, friendly face in our photographer to help calm the pre-ceremony jitters and get things underway. The second shooter Julie brought, Kim, was also a great energy to be around! Throughout the ceremony and into the reception, we hardly noticed they were there - They did an excellent job at seamlessly navigating all the hustle and bustle and working their way into getting all their photos without getting in the way or disrupting any of the party vibes at all. For the planned family shots and the like, they were super quick and efficient, too! Family and friends are still bringing up what a great job they did, many have never seen wedding photographers get the job done so organically. And all this praise came before anyone saw the wedding sneak peeks! Once those rolled in, also way earlier than we expected, everyone was floored. None of us could believe how so many great shots were taken with no interruptions to the flow of the party! One of our specific shot ideas took a bit more planning and set up from Julie - Our wedding was on a full moon, and we had to have an epic moon shot! Julie was super into the idea and made sure to map out where and when the best visibility would be, then of course she and Kim had to set up some extra gear to make sure everything came out. All of her attention to detail in planning this came together in a gorgeous shot of us under our full moon! We cannot recommend Julie enough - She obviously loves what she does, that is made clear by how excellent her skills are and in how great a person she is to work with. We already know we want to have her do a first anniversary shoot with us somewhere epic! Thank you for capturing our day so perfectly Julie, our photos were one of the top priorities for our wedding, and you exceeded all our expectations!

Julie gave us beautiful memories to last a lifetime! We did both our engagement photos and wedding photos with Julie, and she surpassed our expectations!
