Magical Property

I was married at the end of May in 2014 - and had a wonderful experience with the owner and the grounds, even though mother nature decided to rain on us for most of the day! For the rehearsal, the owner was so accommodating, helping bring my full vision to life (and essentially taking all decor and making it the most magical it could look). Day of, she not only took care of every little problem that came her way, but she handled it with ease and precision. Yes, it rained. Yes, things were muddy. Yes, our guests had the heads up to wear sensible shoes (and I am sure they were glad for it!). The property is surrounded by woods! It's absolutely beautiful, I felt extremely taken care of, and would 1000% do it all over again. The pond is a beautiful backdrop, the house was so lovely to have nearby for getting ready/staying over night. 10/10, if I could give that review. Magical is a word others have used to describe this place - and I would absolutely agree.

Perfect autumn colors

We had the most beautiful wedding in 10/01/22 at JJP. Our guests still fawn about the space to us. I had to put a lot of trust in the new management; the venue was pretty barren and overgrown during our walk throughs after years of disuse, but they reassured me everything would be renovated and maintained and they really pulled through. For the duration of our stay, management took care of any issues that arose very well.

We had selected JJP because it was important to us that we be able to have a handful of our nearest and dearest stay and continue celebrating with us; something we were able to do with a 3 day booking. We used the space for our rehearsal dinner as well, and there is so much space for all of the wedding party to get ready. I had wanted a first look at the alter and we were able to keep the groom away from me until the ceremony. We also didn’t want something cookie-cutter and the space allows one to make it their own and we had such a delightfully weird vibe. We are very happy that we found it. Best day ever.

It really is a magical experience to have your wedding at JJP. Alyson is wonderful and really helps you decide if the venue is right for you when you meet with her. I would suggest setting up an on-site visit - we fell in love the minute we saw it in person and knew that with what we wanted our wedding to feel like, it was the perfect place. LOVED the whole experience!

We had an amazing experience having our wedding at Juliane James Place. From start to finish it was such a magical day. The great experience overall though really began with the planning meetings held with the owner, Alyson. She is such a genuine person and has excellent, unique ideas that help make your wedding one of a kind. She helped keep us on a timeline both in the days leading up to the big day and during the wedding itself. We heard so many compliments on how beautiful the property is and how it was the best wedding people had been to! Our food vendor commented on how it was the smoothest wedding she had helped with and loved how everything was so organized. The staff at JJP worked so hard to make that happen- we are so happy we chose this venue for our special day- it truly was the best day of our lives!

The grounds, tent, portions of the house and garage were filthy dirty. Friends and family stepped in to clean on the evening of rehearsal when we arrived. Owner said she had cleaned but only evidence of that was that mud streaks were left behind on the walls of tent. Mice ran out of stuffed chairs left in the tent. She was not ready for a wedding - weed wacking and building a platform for DJ still during rehearsal. Also, the only accommodations for large number of guests is 30 minutes away. Hotel is very, very smoky. Guests come out on a bus - some were faint from heat. Wedding turned out beautiful thanks to family who stepped in to clean up the property.

Wedding was June 2016 - The place is very overpriced and you receive nothing for the $$ you pay. The grounds, building, yard and wedding props are not well taken care of. If you touch anything that is wood it crumbles. Outside the wedding tent there is garbage that needs to be picked up, rotting wood, tarps and other garbage. The walk way between the bar area and the ceremony area needs to be worked on it is very hazardous walking. The owner stated that this is secondary business and it is not a priority. I would not recommend this place to anyone for a wedding venue.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
