Julia was wonderful to work with for our wedding! She was very responsive leading up to the wedding. On the day of the wedding, she was very organized and made sure all our family photos and candid shots were captured. She even organized a family photo checklist and helped make sure our family was gathered and ready to take their photos. This relieved so much worry as we were able to relax knowing all our family photos were completed prior to the reception.
I enjoyed chatting with her as she made me and my partner feel very comfortable during our photo session. We are so excited to see our final photos!

Julia surpassed all of our expectations as our wedding photographer. Starting with the engagement shoot, Julia helped us find our own posing style and made the experience fun all while getting great shots. She easily handled a last minute location change because of the summer wildfires—salvaging the engagement shoot. On our wedding day, Julia and Don did a great job keeping things light and fun while staying focused on getting a great variety of shots. Our photos turned out better than we could have imagined and truly captured the magic of the day. Julia is the best. She’s so responsive and so willing to work with you to get what you want. She drove through snow and sleet to get to my wedding. Then stayed and photographed everything in the middle of a snow storm lol. I’ve only gotten a sneak leak so far but the engagement pictures she did for us were awesome! I can’t wait to see! You won’t regret hiring her!!

My fiancé and I were a little nervous about hiring a photographer to do a photoshoot, but we were recommended this photographer based on a friend who saw her work on Instagram. Her photos were so incredible that I was hesitant if she would even consider working with us, but she responded right away and was very enthused. We initially were stuck by how awesome and nice she sounded over the phone. The contract she wrote up was very clear and she was very helpful in walking us through what to expect on our big day. I remembered thinking that she was incredibly professional, well organized, and an excellent communicator. Julia was so exuberant about all the sites we are going to visit for our shoot, but really tailored the final decisions on what best reflected our core interests as a couple and working with the best lighting.

One thing that we were especially impressed with was her care and detail in terms of building up a rapport ahead of our elopement day. She also sent us a short survey to fill out to get to know us and as a way to share our story. It was the perfect way to help my fiancé and I rediscover things about each other and remember why we had initially fallen in love. Julia really set the stage for the photoshoot and our elopement to follow to be one of the best experiences of our lives!

We spent five hours with her on the day of our elopement. Initially we thought that would be too much time, but in the end, we felt like we could have spent a whole weekend with her. Her enthusiasm and fun nature really allowed the day to feel like a fun adventure with a close friend and the perfect start to our lives together as husband and wife. She also was very experienced in how to guide us during the shoot in a way that felt easy going and natural. We ended up laughing and having a blast the whole day!

When we saw the photos were totally blown away!! They were gorgeous – even beyond what we were expecting. Hiring Julia was one of the best investments we made (not just for having the incredible photos to look at and share), but also starting us off on our next adventure in life as a couple. I can not rave about Julia enough!! We booked her before COVID. And when the pandemic changed our original 200-300 person June 2020 wedding, she was so flexible and helpful with us! She took the time to discuss ideas on how our new elopement day could go. We switched gears and went with an under 15 person elopement day. Our wedding day went perfectly and they were a huge part of it! Her and her husband Don perfectly captured our day!! The photos are more stunning than I ever could of imagined! They made us feel so comfortable and we had such a fun day going around Big Sur taking photos. It felt like an adventure day with old friends. We feel so lucky we chose them to be our photographers! I’d definitely recommend Julia to any family or friends!

My husband and I loved working with Julia and her husband. I found them through a friend that was also getting married. I got see their work through their engagement and wedding photos (as well as their other gigs they published), and we both liked their photography style.

She took the time to listen to all of my wants and needs in a photographer, and ended up exceeding all of my expectations! Our first experience with Julia and her husband Don was when we did a FaceTime meet and greet to discuss what I was looking for in a photographer, and more. After talking with her, my husband and I quickly signed our contract with her and scheduled our engagement session. They even let us bring our (energetic) pup to our engagement session, and happily hiked down to where we wanted our pictures taken on the river in Folsom, CA. Julia’s experience was evident during our engagement session, and the photos were more than we could have ever imagined!

On our wedding day Julia and her husband showed up on time and were so excited to be photographing our wedding. Her excitement made our day even more special!
