Julia and her amazing team stepped in at the last minute to help out me and my family when we found ourselves without a caterer less than two months before my wedding and in the height of Rochester's busy wedding season. She went above and beyond to extend her own schedule to accommodate us and made sure that the menu planning process was both fun and easy. She created a custom family style menu for us that was unique and worked seamlessly with our dietary restrictions. Most importantly, the food was out of this world amazing! Everything was mouth wateringly good and was served nice and hot. I enjoyed every minute working with her and her team and will absolutely use her again for my next event!

One of the most important thing in a wedding is food. We were recommended to Julia K Caters through our venue as they are one of their preferred vendors. Julia and her team was amazing. They are organized and and super responsive. We were able to customize our own menu and have the food that we want. They are open to using family recipes as well to ensure that the dish is exactly they way you want it. Many of my guest raved about the food during and after the wedding. Highly recommend Julia K to cater your next event!

Julia K Caters is not your typical caterer. They are people who KNOW food and know what it takes to deliver a delicious meal, to even 200+ guests. From our initial meeting, I knew this was who we were going with. Her team is so personable and fun to talk to and made us excited about our wedding meal. I knew I didn’t want the “typical” wedding food but also knew it can be difficult to appease that many guests. From the start, they helped us brainstorm flavors and foods and created a customized menu for our wedding from which we were able to choose and make adjustments as well. We were not disappointed by any means. We had our tasting at their home base and it was truly special as we dined with our parents. It was decorated with the colors of our wedding, paired with wine, and each dish brought out was so beautifully presented and flavors and ingredients were explained by Julia and one of her main chefs himself. We enjoyed every last bite of it, like eating at a fantastic restaurant. They understood the tastes we wanted for our winter wedding with Italian and Mediterranean inspiration we asked for, down the to exact amount of spice that would please everyone and the vibes we were going for. They provided dishes that would accommodate everyone’s needs, went well together, and even focused on the colors and presentation of the food that would create an appetizing plate. They were accommodating, professional, reasonable, and so easy to work with. We even chose to work with them for my bridal shower brunch, which was a hit too. We knew they would deliver on the day of the wedding. Even the appetizers during cocktail hour flew off the beautiful display and we could hear people complimenting them as Jamie and I walked around and greeted guests. When we made our rounds to each table during dinner hour, guests were telling us it was one of the best wedding meals they’ve had. We’re still receiving compliments on the food weeks later. Highly recommend! Julia, Erika, and the Julia K Team are fantastic caterers. Not only is their food delicious, but the presentation is always well thought out and stunning. The Julia K Team goes above and beyond in the planning process to custom craft a menu that is uniquly you. They are even flexible to virtually any cusine, and can take client recipies to create something truly authentic. If you are looking for a caterer that will create a one of a kind, delicious menu for your event, Julia K should be your next call!

We ended up with 10 less guests than what we paid for and Julia’s staff didn’t have enough food prepared for 80 people. Half of my wedding guests were served 45 minutes AFTER the first half. So, 35 guests got food while the other 35 guests were left hanging. The serving staff were excellent and sympathetic.

Additionally, They disregarded allergens, and fed only dairy apps to guests. Adrian, the director is difficult to work with unlike his predecessor, Lisa. We understand inflation hit, but we were paying 30-45% more per food item, instead of the 9% inflation. We had to cut out food items due to financial constraints from the outrageous price hike.

Book somewhere cheaper and more organized than Adrian. Don’t work with him.
