I'm a full time PUBLISHED wedding + elopement photographer, based in Port Orange, Florida. Although based on the North East coast of Florida, I will travel anywhere for love.

What's up, I'm Josie!

I’m a wedding, elopement & lifestyle photographer based in Central Florida available for travel. Fun fact: I have been married since 2006, and with my hubby since 2000. (Talk about being a lover of love)! Our love brought us two little boys that are 12 and 10 years old. My why for being a photographer, is because I have been an artist my whole life. I was stoked to find an artistic medium that speaks to my soul in that year of 2011. I then went full time in the year of 2015. Fast forward to today and many hard years of work, I now a full time business. Quirky things about me.. I would describe my work as a modern, editorial, artistic and cinematic.

My favorite are the small and intimate unique wedding or elopements. I enjoy couples that go against the grain and don’t worry about traditions. Same with lifestyle sessions, I adore the wild and care free spirits. Spending time getting to know people in love is the best part about what I do. I am inspired by raw emotions, adventures and beautiful locations. The best thing about shooting for me, is the candid moments. I am not really into that posed stuff, as you see.

When I am not shooting, you can find me spending time with my family of four and floppy eared pitty named Aloe.

Best Photographer Ever!

Josie is not only an amazingly talented photographer, but she is such a sweet and passionate person as well! You can tell through her work how much she truly enjoys what she does! She did a fabulous job on our engagement and wedding photos. She is very detail oriented, excellent with time management, and makes sure you get all the special photos you want. We would ABSOLUTELY recommend her! We look forward to using her again for future anniversary photos, etc. She truly is a friend to both of us!

Hire immediately!!

Josie — a magical photographer, the couples BFF, the MVP for the bride and truly the most talented professional us New Yorkers have ever met!! Josie has the best VIBE and it transpires through her couples and into the final photos. She allowed us to be ourselves and it captured the most heartfelt photos at our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. Our engagement shoot was local pre-massive thunderstorm and Josie still drove 3 plus hours, captured beautiful photos and then drove back home. Our wedding was a Caribbean destination wedding. Never once in the planning process did we have to question a step as Josie was our MOST organized vendor ever and we actually began recommending her detailed oriented process to other vendors as well. She truly gets to know her couples and creates magical unforgettable photos to last a lifetime. I will forever recommend Josie and continue to hire her!!! Thank you from our hearts!!

Editorial Bridal DREAM

Words cannot describe how happy we are that we worked with Josie for our engagement and wedding photos. From the first phone call we had with Josie, we knew we were in good hands. She was attentive, caring, organized, and completely understood our vision. The wedding day ran so smoothly with Josie there and she blew us away with how well she captured our day. Receiving our gallery was the second best day to our wedding because it allowed us to relive the day all over again. From the behind the scenes photos, to first look, to reception, you can literally feel our wedding from the photos. Josie is truly a master at her craft and I cannot recommend her more– whether you’re near to her or far (like us from NY), book her!

Josie is an ARTIST. Our engagement and wedding photos look like they belong in a museum and are cherished memories that we will have forever and pass down as heirlooms to our children. Josie was professional and communicative from the very beginning. She is organized in the business side and provided so many helpful tips and resources in preparation for the big day. Our engagement shoot was more than we could have ever imagined and got us so excited for the wedding. When the big day came, Josie OWNED it. The photographer is the vendor you spend the most time with and can make or break the day. Josie kept us calm and excited, acting like the true professional she is. When we got the sneak peaks back, I was BLOWN AWAY. She captured so many candid and special moments with an artistic eye that I feel like is often overlooked in the wedding industry. Nothing looks staged or posed but we’ve never looked better! The turnaround time for the full gallery was also quite less than quoted with so many more photos than expected. I was overwhelmed with the quality and number of photos, seemingly each better than the last. I HIGHLY recommend the film add on. Having Polaroids at the end of the night was so special and awaiting the rolls to come back is such a fun process. The vintage and candid elements of those photos are some of my favorites. Josie is highly sought after for a reason – she over delivered and was one of the best decisions we could have made! We love you, Josie!

Forever recommending Josie Brooks

Josie was & is the absolute best -
Photos were the one thing my husband and I really wanted to prioritize because that is really the only thing that we get to keep from our best day ever... selecting Josie to capture our favorite moments / people / day was the best and easiest decision of the wedding process. She is beyond talented and her work brings pure joy. The gratitude we have for perfectly and skillfully capturing these memories is overwhelming! I also admire how personable, organized, and professional she remains throughout the entire process. I loved the level of trust I felt in her throughout the day - we all are aware of how insane a wedding day must be but she was beyond helpful. I will and am recommending her time and time again: Josie is evidently skilled, but she is all around a wonderful woman and working with her in the wedding process / day was quite literally a dream!

Josie was the best decision we made for our wedding!

One look at Josie’s work and we immediately knew she was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding photographer! Her style is the perfect balance of romantic, candid, and editorial. I feel so lucky to have been able to work with her twice before our wedding day (best engagement photos ever!). Josie is incredibly helpful and thorough in the planning prior to a shoot or wedding day. She went above and beyond to make sure we got all the shots we wanted, and the photos came out better than I could have imagined!! The memories she was able to capture on our wedding day are invaluable to us. Ahh! Where can I possibly begin?? Josie is pure magic. We are so lucky we found Josie and were able to book her! Josie was so wonderful to work with. She brought a sense of comfort throughout the entire process and her passion for photography shines through in her photographs. The end products are literally stunning. My husband and I felt so comfortable in front of the camera. It never felt awkward or “posey.” Family and friends were raving about our pictures. Josie has a true gift and we are so blessed we were able to experience it first hand!

Amazing! Exceeded all expectations!

Where to begin… WE LOVE JOSIE! Back in 2019 she photographed my sisters wedding and her work was absolutely stunning! So when it came to my wedding I was SO excited Josie could work with us again! Through our engagement shoot up to the wedding she surpasses all expectations! Her attention to detail is unmatched. Looking through our wedding photos there’s not one moment she didn’t capture, even when we didn’t realize she was even taking pictures! So in love with our photos and we are forever grateful for her being a part of such big moments in our life! She is a beautiful person inside and out and it’s been a pleasure getting to know her more! She is like family now! So excited to see her art continue to grow!

Josie is the best!

Josie is one of the most talented people I have ever met!! She went above and beyond from the time we signed with her up until our wedding day. She always made sure we were happy and comfortable since it was such a long day. We told her we wanted her to put her artistic flair on everything and she delivered! Our pictures came out even better than expected and I cannot thank her enough. You can really tell she puts so much care, thought and effort into everything she does, she’s the best!!

Where to Even Begin?

Where to even begin?

To say Josie was amazing would be an understatement. She went above and beyond in every single capacity leading up to and on our wedding day. She is the sweetest human ever and made us both feel so incredibly comfortable and loved on throughout the entire process.

She did so much more than photograph our wedding. She helped me with my shoes, brought fans for us to use to fan ourselves (which was life changing with that Florida heat) and so much more. It felt more like having a best friend there than a photographer I had just met.

And OUR PHOTOS. Oh my goodness both our engagement and wedding photos are so breathtaking. She captured every moment of our day in such a magical way. From the big moments to the smallest details, I can tell it was all handled with the utmost care.

Please, if you're considering hiring her as your photographer, do it. She is truly an angel sent from above. Couldn't have asked to work with a better human.

Her talent is unmatched. Best photographer ever. Truly.
