Josie is an ARTIST. Our engagement and wedding photos look like they belong in a museum and are cherished memories that we will have forever and pass down as heirlooms to our children. Josie was professional and communicative from the very beginning. She is organized in the business side and provided so many helpful tips and resources in preparation for the big day. Our engagement shoot was more than we could have ever imagined and got us so excited for the wedding. When the big day came, Josie OWNED it. The photographer is the vendor you spend the most time with and can make or break the day. Josie kept us calm and excited, acting like the true professional she is. When we got the sneak peaks back, I was BLOWN AWAY. She captured so many candid and special moments with an artistic eye that I feel like is often overlooked in the wedding industry. Nothing looks staged or posed but we’ve never looked better! The turnaround time for the full gallery was also quite less than quoted with so many more photos than expected. I was overwhelmed with the quality and number of photos, seemingly each better than the last. I HIGHLY recommend the film add on. Having Polaroids at the end of the night was so special and awaiting the rolls to come back is such a fun process. The vintage and candid elements of those photos are some of my favorites. Josie is highly sought after for a reason – she over delivered and was one of the best decisions we could have made! We love you, Josie! -

One look at Josie’s work and we immediately knew she was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding photographer! Her style is the perfect balance of romantic, candid, and editorial. I feel so lucky to have been able to work with her twice before our wedding day (best engagement photos ever!). Josie is incredibly helpful and thorough in the planning prior to a shoot or wedding day. She went above and beyond to make sure we got all the shots we wanted, and the photos came out better than I could have imagined!! The memories she was able to capture on our wedding day are invaluable to us. Josie’s talent, kind nature, and genuine care for her couples make her a standout, and I would recommend her to absolutely any bride!! -

Amazing! Exceeded all expectations!
Where to begin… WE LOVE JOSIE! Back in 2019 she photographed my sisters wedding and her work was absolutely stunning! So when it came to my wedding I was SO excited Josie could work with us again! Through our engagement shoot up to the wedding she surpasses all expectations! Her attention to detail is unmatched. Looking through our wedding photos there’s not one moment she didn’t capture, even when we didn’t realize she was even taking pictures! So in love with our photos and we are forever grateful for her being a part of such big moments in our life! JOSIE IS A PORTRAIT MAGICIAN! I am a photographer myself, not used to being in front of the camera, AND had to make a last minute plan for engagement photos as my original photographer couldn't travel due to covid. I was all bummed, didn't have high hopes. WELP. ALLLLL of that being said, Josie came to the rescue, flexible with booking, made all of my engagement photo dreams come true. I literally couldn't be happier with them and I'm picky AF! I'm going to treasure these photos forever and ever and ever. We had so much fun goofin' around at the shoot, and the photos show just that. SO. MUCH. FUN! They are exactly us. Josie's turn around was quick, and knowing how busy she is, what a treat! Where to Even Begin?
Where to even begin?
To say Josie was amazing would be an understatement. She went above and beyond in every single capacity leading up to and on our wedding day. She is the sweetest human ever and made us both feel so incredibly comfortable and loved on throughout the entire process.
She did so much more than photograph our wedding. She helped me with my shoes, brought fans for us to use to fan ourselves (which was life changing with that Florida heat) and so much more. It felt more like having a best friend there than a photographer I had just met.
And OUR PHOTOS. Oh my goodness both our engagement and wedding photos are so breathtaking. She captured every moment of our day in such a magical way. From the big moments to the smallest details, I can tell it was all handled with the utmost care.
Please, if you're considering hiring her as your photographer, do it. She is truly an angel sent from above. Couldn't have asked to work with a better human.
Her talent is unmatched. Best photographer ever. Truly. -

One of a kind!!!!
Josie is truly one of a kind! We found her through friends and had Josie take our engagement photos. Right after our session, we booked her immediately for our wedding. Josie is a true professional with quality work. She goes above and beyond to ensure your pictures turn out perfect. From the start, she listened and guided us with information not only for our incredible photos, but the whole wedding planning process. She formed a genuine relationship with us and was there anytime we needed help or advice. The day of our wedding went beyond smoothly thanks to Josie and her precise planning, commitment, and expertise when it came to not only our photos, but managing our group photos (wedding party and family photos). She makes everyone feel comfortable and confident! From planning to day of, Josie ensured that everything would run smoothly and she BEYOND exceeded our expectations. Josie feels like a true member of our family after our wedding day and we would 100% go to her again for additional photos in the future. You will not regret having Josie as your photographer! -

Truly a rockstar!!!
Josie was absolutely amazing!! We were one of her first clients to talk with her during COVID and she was amazing, able to answer any questions we had about the whole process and more. We did our engagements with her and the whole shoot was wonderful. She made both of us feel extremely comfortable and didn’t force anything. For the wedding, everything was extremely organized and she was on her game the whole day. Not a single thing to complain about during any part of the process. Josie was able to get our photos to us for both the engagement and wedding very quickly, they all turned out amazing! Josie is worth absolutely every penny and we would recommend her to any wedding couple who wants an extremely high quality photographer for their wedding. 100/10! -

Beautiful photography from a Beautiful Soul
Hire Josie....she's the best. From the first time I contacted Josie I instantly knew she was the photographer for me. Her spirit, her warmth, her passion for what she does, emanated through zoom!! Her photography is stunning, which is why I reached out to her, but I wasn't expecting such a lovely person, it was the "icing on the cake". Josie kept in touch whilst I worked with my wedding planner, and when I met her for the first time on the day it felt like seeing an old friend. She gave the perfect guidance and mixture of structure and "going with it". Like I said, hire Josie, you won't regret it! -

I cannot recommend Josie enough. Her photography skills speak for themselves - you just peruse her portfolios and you can see that she is talented. But what you can't tell from a portfolio is someone's personality and Josie has a heart of gold. From the beginning, Josie has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I told her what budget I was working with and she was able to build a package that worked out perfectly for what I was looking for. Josie then followed me on Instagram which allowed us to interact with each other more, making me feel even more comfortable with her. I know that following me on Instagram seems like a silly thing to mention, but it made me feel really seen and allowed me to get to know her on a personal level. Josie was so organized and articulate - which made my type-A heart sing with joy. We worked together on a timeline for the images and had several conversations where she really listened to what I wanted and the vision I was looking for. The week of my wedding comes and we find out that it's going to rain on my wedding day - my venue is entirely outside. I vented to Josie on the phone about my concerns and woes about the wedding in general and she assured me that she will rock it no matter what. The day of the wedding comes and the weather is a full-blown tropical storm. Our timeline went completely out the door and the ability to take pictures was stricken to almost non-existent. My fiancé and I were unable to really get any couples formals. My bridal party got maybe 1-3 group pictures. Problems upon problems began to pile up - when I tell you that nothing went right on the day of my wedding, I mean NOTHING. After the ceremony, my now husband and I booked it to our suite to escape everyone and everything. I cried in order to destress. Josie and the Bahia team came in shortly after and out of the kindness of their hearts offered to reshoot my couple formals on the following Sunday because the weather was so bad. I began to immediately cry again out of happiness. Josie and the Bahia team did the best that they could to make the remainder of my day special, given all the obstacles and issues we encountered. Sunday came and we met up to retake the images. I haven't even seen the images yet and I can already tell you they are beautiful. They made us feel so confident and amazing. I could cry thinking about how much this team really went ABOVE and BEYOND for me. There's no amount of words to explain how grateful I am to them. If you want a photographer that genuinely cares about you, Josie is your girl. -

From the beginning Josie has been absolutely amazing! She’s fun and such an artist when it comes to photography. Our engagement pictures months before were incredible and a week before the wedding we sat down and went through the whole timeline of the wedding day to make sure she could get all the shots I wanted! I would recommend Josie to anyone and her 2nd photographer Luis!! Will be hiring her again for family pictures down the road♥️ -

Receiving our gallery was the second best day to our wedding because it allowed us to relive the day all over again. Words can’t express how much my husband I love Josie. She is not a photographer that once you sign with them, they ghost you until the day of the wedding (I have had friends that have experienced that), she literally is with you every step of the way, which I appreciated and honestly needed. Besides being welcoming, attentive, and just awesome, she is also insanely talented. I wanted a photographer that would capture our day authentically, but also not afraid to tell us what looks good – and that is Josie! If you’re looking for someone that knows what they are doing, will share tips that will maximize your photography experience, will get soaked to get you that wedding day shot, and happens to be one of the nicest people in the world, then please book Josie. Fantastic Experience!
Josie was great from helping me plan the surprise proposal (suggesting an alternate venue after issues arose with the first one) all the way through following up with photos after. We had a big group for a toxin free cosmetics retreat, and they were so patient and kind to us! They made me feel like a straight up model, and even let me do extra pictures because I wasn't sure I loved the first couple! Even with a whole bunch of other lovely ladies waiting! Josie is such an amazing photographer! She is very professional but also personable. She makes you feel comfortable whether it’s an engagement shoot or your big day! I suggest you hire her for both 😉. Josie is so incredibly talented and a visionary. Her earthy tones and colors are simply to to die for. Somehow and in some way, she makes every photo gorgeous, no matter how un-photogenic you might feel (and who doesn't have those moments?).
There is such an ease about the way she shoots and she is so chill and flexible. She finds a way to make you feel comfortable and tries to capture who you are. She did our engagement shoot and then also our wedding. We just got a sneak peak the other day of our wedding photos (another bonus, she is super efficient!), and are already in looove.
Josie is not only a talented photographer, but just an all around good person. She cares about your well-being and asks after you. We lucked out finding her, and now want to spread the word on how amazing and magical she is. She was one of our best hires. Hiring Josie was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding! I can't rave enough about the quality of her photos, the value of her packages, and Josie's awesome personality. She made each experience comfortable and fun, she's a total doll, and she gives TONS of information to help you prepare for a successful shoot. She has so much information to help the overwhelmed bride, from vendor selections to locations for the engagement shoot. She was also the most communicative person I dealt with for the entire wedding, which is a huge plus for me! Josie also brought Mary as the second photographer to shoot our wedding and both were a great addition to the atmosphere and took fantastic photos. Some of the little things that make Josie so great are that she helped me find an amazing hair & makeup artist (who came through clutch), she helped a friend order a print of one of our engagement photos as a surprise gift, and when she noticed the venue hadn't turned on the AC in the grooms "suite" the sweltering day of our wedding, she turned it on so it would cool before he got there. We plan on hiring Josie for every major event we want to photograph in the future, and my family loved our photos so much that they've all asked me for her info for their own photos!Josie Brooks Photography's reply:

For starters, I just want to say, don’t even give it a second thought about hiring Josie. She is absolutely the best! I honestly can’t tell you enough, she pays attention to all the details, even the ones you never thought existed! She makes you and your partner the number one priority! She was my number one absolute priority to have at my wedding, because her work is seriously that good! When she did our engagements, all she told us was “I’m only here to capture the love, you guys just be yourself”, and HOLY COW, she made it so comfortable for us both, the photos were above and beyond what I could have imagined! Truly amazing
How do I even start. The way Josie captures beautifully simplistic and moody photos that show every ounce of emotion is what first caught my eye. She has such great attention to detail. Little did I know that choosing her as my wedding photographer would also turn into my bridal shower photographer, my engagement session photographer, and now a really good friend and my lifetime photographer. I have recommended her over and over and my friends whom have chosen to go with her have had the most amazing photos come out of it. Her work truly goes noticed for obvious reasons.
