Jordan Baker is a wedding photographer based in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. With his wife, Aneila as his second shooter, he specializes in intimate weddings and elopements with a documentary approach to shooting, and a tasteful, film-based, approach to editing, “true to life, slightly enhanced” as he calls it. Don’t you feel like photography has become overly intrusive lately? Even as a photographer, I feel like it sort-of sucks the fun out of everything. The things we do, the places we go, the food we eat: it often feels like it’s more about the photo and the splash it might make on some app…less about the actual enjoyment of the original activity.

The true purpose of a wedding day is for a couple to get married and to celebrate that union with the people they love. It’s my mission to provide the photography without destroying that purpose, documenting things in a way that doesn’t make your joyous occasion all about the photos.

Rather, the photos are to be all about the day.
