Hiring Jordan and Anelia has been one of the best decisions we have ever made. They were able to capture everything without getting in the way (I now work in the industry and this is a rarity). They left everything up to us, and let us completely enjoy the day with no rush. These photos tell a beautiful story that will last a lifetime, and we feel so lucky to have found them.

We knew we had to book Jordan and Aneila after seeing them photograph two of our dear friends, Allison and Tanner Jonske, at their Richmond wedding. The moment we saw their work, we were intrigued.
We were married in a historic chapel in Powhatan just two days after Christmas, and Jordan and Aneila captured our intimate, cozy winter wedding more beautifully than we could have imagined.
People in the photography world might describe their style as "documentary," but honestly, I'd describe it as stepping into a box of treasured family photographs from the '90s. There's a simplicity and warmth to their work that feels deeply nostalgic in the best possible way. The candid moments. Kids being kids. Couples tucked close together. A knowing glance between two people who've loved each other for decades. The kind of laugh that catches you completely off guard. Even a lavender-blue sky of a winter sunset. Their photos don't just show you what happened; they make you feel like you're right back in that moment.
And beyond their incredible talent and creative eye, Jordan and Aneila brought such a calming, genuine presence to our wedding day. Being photographed can feel intimidating, but with them, it felt natural and effortless. They somehow managed to be everywhere at once, capturing all those little moments we missed while living the day ourselves.
When we received our gallery, we found ourselves saying, "Wait, I didn't even see that happen!" over and over again. Those are the moments that make a wedding gallery truly special, and Jordan and Aneila have a gift for finding them.

I cannot recommend Jordan and Aneila enough if you are, like me, someone who does not enjoy posing for photographs and wants to capture a documentary style version of your wedding day. Looking at our photos brings me so much joy because it is like walking through my memories of the day, PLUS getting to see all these other beautiful moments our guests were having. I just love them - they captured the setting, the mood and the details without ever feeling like we were at a photoshoot. We did do one quick set of photos just the two of us as the sun was setting and Jordan gave great direction there - we got beautiful pictures of the two of us that i will treasure, with minimal fuss. Again, if you are looking for documentary style these are your people!!! -

Three years later
I just realized I never posted a review for the wedding that Jordan and Aneila shot for us in Philly in August of 2016. Combating the worst in glaring sunshine and plastic cup-melting heat, they were on the ball at every step of the way, graciously directing posed photos, but mostly being ready to capture all the most emotional moments of our wedding. Looking back, the posed photos are beautiful, but the picture of me and my dad crying while we dance brings all that emotion flowing back. If you book these two, be ready to have a record of your most meaningful moments. I felt like they were in love with the art and the experience much more than just a "job."
