About Jonathan's Portraits

Jonathan's Portraits provides destination AND home town wedding photography services to couples in their location of choice. As a second generation professional photographer, Jonathan learned his passion for photographing people at a young age, while working side by side with his father, the largest portrait photographer in the Midwest. Jonathan's father opened his portrait studio in 1939, after studying with Photographic Icon, Ansel Adams.

Jonathan bought the business from his father in 1993. The World is his studio.

Jonathan photographs in an open-minded and creative style to satisfy the taste of all clients. He loves to play on the surrounding environment, architecture, nature and natural sunlight to capture the couples true connection. Enjoy photos near the greatest landmarks of your destination or at the places that mean the most to you. Jonathan has photographed events all over the country, from Hawaii to D.C, and Canada to Cancun.

Engagement and Wedding Photos 📷

If youre looking for an outgoing photographer, Jonathan Portraits is the way to go! Definitely made my dreams and the vision I had for pictures come true! Was a pleasure to have him and his daughter Brittany capture our special day 💙 highly recommended and suggest having both him and his daughter take your photos as they will capture differentangles and scenery!!

Best Photography experience. Beautiful memories captured by Jonathan's Portraits

This has been the best photography experience. We have 4 children and our last child just got married. We had Jonathan's Portraits capture our daughter's wedding. My daughter and now son-in-law first met Jonathan and his daughter Ashley at the Air Show, and when they ran into them again at State Fair they were excited for us to meet them and show us their work. Once we seen their photos and how they took the time to talk with us, we booked them right away. Jonathan, Ashley and Brittany are very personable. Jonathan has a special gift to make you feel comfortable, while capturing the most beautiful, natural photos. During the wedding Brittany and Jonathan kept everyone on schedule and adapted easily with new ideas when the weather didn't cooperate with their original plans. The photos turned out beautifully, you can't just see the fun, laughter and love in their photos. You can look at the pictures and actually feel the emotions that were captured. Great Job!! And THANK YOU for the amazing memories that we can share for years to come.

Captured our Love Story Perfectly!

From the very beginning, Jonathan’s Portraits exceeded every single expectation we had. Our engagement session was so much fun — they made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera and somehow captured the most natural, genuine moments that feel so us.

When it came to our wedding day, they were organized, calm, and blended in perfectly while still managing to catch every laugh, tear, and tiny detail. Looking through our wedding gallery felt like reliving the day all over again — every photo tells a story, and shows emotion in each shot. We were so pleased with our experience from start to finish!

Wedding Day Review

Jonathon and Brittany captured our wedding day Beautifully. I could not have asked for a better father daughter duo. They were on time, very professional and took so many Amazing pictures that I can look back on for the years to come. I would choose them to be my wedding photographers again and again. I loved how comfortable they made my husband and I and our wedding party feel. I am not a fan of having my picture taken and they made the whole process run so smoothly. I loved them so much and I can’t wait to hire them again in the future. 10/10.

BEST photographers ever!!!

Brittany and Jonathan are both such amazing people and truly the best photographers ever! Jonathan’s portraits photographed my wedding and I’m so thankful for that! They did an AMAZING job and were so much fun to work with. They bring such great energy with every picture we took. Our whole bridal party loved them and enjoyed taking all the fun pictures just as much as my husband and I did! They captured all the amazing moments and made such beautiful pictures for us to hold onto forever!

Jonathon brings great passion and energy to his work. He had a way of drawing out emotions to really capture our own unique personalities through our photos. The images were top notch, and his welcoming approach made it all feel very natural throughout the process.

Awesomeness

Unfortunately when we got married Jonathan was just a baby, however we have used him for family portraits, and Bat Mitvahs. He is unlike another photographer. He takes the most beautiful and original pictures. You never get run of the mill, same pictures as everyone else. Yours are special to you and your family. He goes way past the extra mile.

Outstanding and Incredible!

Johnathon and Britney you are the BEST! We just met them a few months ago when we became aware that our cancer survivor daughter was engaged. We had to move quickly in order to have a wedding this past weekend. From our first contact over the phone to the beautiful engagement photo session with the icing on the cake being the wedding day, everything was flawless. We just love these two charismactic personal touch and sensitivity to everything people. Their professionalism, punctuality, creativeness and sentimentality was bar none! They knew just what to say and when, how to gently direct the wedding party. They took incredible candid shots, posed shots and captured the essence of the moment. We can't wait to see the portraits!! We have a 3rd daughter who is currently 23 and single yet we are already planning on them being our wedding photographers. There are no two other people that we trust with that important job! 5 plus stars for these two! What a team. More than satisfied clients and new Friends 4 Ever!
