About a year before the wedding, we found a great deal with the restaurant's catering agency. The food tasting went very well. We had received a quote and felt we had the best deal compared to any other place we'd tried. This all changed once we were ready to book with them a few weeks before the date. The catering agent we worked with no longer had a working number or email. They had removed this entire part of their operation. They had also done away with providing servers at events. The cost of each item almost doubled, and so did the delivery options. With all those extras removed from the package we were familiar with, the price was more than what we were quoted before. We were getting less for the money. Maybe it was our fault for not booking and having a contract made back then, but we had no idea of the head count or what entree each guest would want to eat, it was simply too early. We felt the company was just falling in line with the competition. Their rates were just low enough to make it a hassle to go anywhere else. The delivered food on time and set up very quickly. The only major issue we experienced was from the burners they supplied us to keep food warm. They burnt holes straight through the aluminum pans holding all the food. Many fixes were attempted but in the end the burners had to be turned off and our guest had to use the venue provided microwave to warm up their entree. It was truly embarrassing and after all we've been through with this vendor, it is difficult to recommend them to others besides the fact their food taste good (when it was warm).
